I'm a musical whore in all fairness, I love this song, Your Silent Face by New Order, The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, Velouria also by the Pixies and Lounge Act by Nirvana. I was an adolescent in the late 80s/ early 90s in the UK so was heavily influenced by the Madchester / indie years prior to what you could call the sell out of Brit Pop.

I just came for the Pixies, but since this discussion was already started before I got here...

Video game companies don't produce good music anymore than the Pixies produce a good video game. Companies hire musicians, or pay royalties for music use, hence the good music they can use is made by good musicians.

Video games are just another medium, like jukeboxes or radio or the internet. I never heard the original "Tainted Love" until GTA San Andreas. Nothing beats live shows, though.
