I wasn't expecting it to be so lush, almost sentimental. I became a Zorn listener years ago, while looking for almost unbearable music. I just didn't want to get comfortable with melody lines anymore. I guess I was angry at how stale music got for me. I sort of got over it, but Zorn and other noisy artists stayed in my collection.
This is refreshing and so expansive. I don't know what to listen to next. That's a nice problem to have. Thanks, Zorn.
