PS I bet it's not actually erased. The plastic pits were formed by stamping, then plated with aluminum. If you vaporize the aluminum, the data-pits probably remain behind. A CD player won't work, but I bet the CIA has a modified player which can read that disk.

So turn up the power in order to blister and melt the plastic!
