US Cities are great in their own way NYC is unique and exciting, Boston reminds me of Middle England and SF is like a Mediterranean city, but they don't and can't compare to the old cities of Europe, Rome, Vienna, Budapest, Paris, Venice and more with their centuries of history and culture. I have been to New York, a dirty and unfriendly city, have lived in Los Angeles - no culture. People overseas are not interested in the all mighty dollar like we are - they know how to enjoy life and their way of living reflects such. My Father came from Paris, born in 1902 - this song reminds me of him among many others by Edith Piaf. Victor, my Father died 14 yrs ago aged 94. He is still greatly missed as is the wonderful Edith.

My grandma even helped me with a project on Edith Piaf for French class. My grandma died a few days ago, so I can't help but feel a raging emptiness whenever I hear this song. I miss her so much...
