Dr. Conman's father was also an unethical doctor. Conman, senior had his medical license restricted by the board in 1994 for over-prescribing "dangerous addictive medicine" to patients for "extended periods. Like father like son. Most likely Conman jr. prescribed drugs illegally in the past. Unfortunately, the Conman was exposed after MJ lost his life.
Weak argument. As you mentioned Dr Conman was NOT is Brazil (etc.), he was in US. This wasn't an isolated incident he provided illegal drugs for months so you cannot compare Conman to practices of ethical doctors. He let his $greed$ get the best of him but the assignment was over his head. Doctors should have 1 patient at a time?? Are you kidding?? MJ was Conman's only client. Good thing you wasn't his lawyer. Jury would have delibarated for 5 minutes.
I watched the trial daily. There was a MOUNTAIN of evidence against Conrad Murray. His gross negligence definitely contributed to MJ's death. Guilty was the right verdict!
That's so typical, if he was a white doctor U would say he is guilty! I've heard enough! Go to wiki and check all the evidence, since u havn't bothered to watch the trial. I'f a doctor killed your mother with drugs u would also say he is innocent?
If only Dr. Murray refused $150,000.00 a month just to put someone to sleep like any other doctors with a decent brain would, his ass wouldn't be in jail now would it, ever think about that? IN short he's the highest legal paid drug pusher ever
I still feel Jackson is at fault for his death and so are the bloodsucking people that were living off him. They were enablers to his reckless life style.
@Uchethegreat The worse enabler was Conrad Murray. CM enabled him by ordering the propofol, injecting the propofol into his system night after night for weeks, and CM lied to the pharmacy about the how he intended to use propofol. His actions were deceptive and negligent - all so he could earn $150,000 a month (live off of MJ) - with total disregard to his hippocratic oath or MJ's health.
@swart22 The answer is obviously both. But you forgot one. There's also the fool willing administering it against his better judgement as a doctor. Doctor is supposed to know better than the patient what is right.
@shoemanbundy well thats what i meant by the one giving the drug as being the doctor.i agree with you in saying that as physician the patients best interests are priority but i still think that some fault has to lie with micheal for wanting to use chemicals for what ever reason.if i use steriods and ask a nurse to administer it when i know the risks and i later develop cancer, who is to blame?
@Ljeac i feel that it would be given that by taking un-natural methods to fall asleep one would realise there are risks involved.given murray is a doctor and micheal a patient and as a patient one puts their life in a doctors hand but by doing so does that now mean that we are allowed to shift the "entire" blame onto the doctor if things go wrong? murray and micheal were friends firstly so it cant be treated as a doctor patient case if you ask me,and i really think that if your friend wanted
@Ljeac something so badly and even if you knew the risks you would feel bad for them and want to help them.murray must of felt he had pressure on getting micheal through the concerts planned,if he didnt help micheal sleep he wouldve lost everything if he couldnt perform.from what i gathered murray was trying to ween micheal off sleeping aids.i think its a mistake, should he go to jail i dont think so,should he lose his liecence yes.he broke his hipocratic oath by befriending micheal
@Ljeac in the end though both parties are very much much at fault.a family is broken over a death and another is dealing with the blame. it was a horrible thing to happen.but its not right to crucify this doctor,he didnt intentionally kill micheal and therefore why should he be treated as if he did.when i doctor loses a patient it is called malpractice.murray was charged with manslaughter.
@swart22 How do you know they were "friends first"? Murray constantly changes his story and contradicts himself all the time.
I never said he did it intentionally, I'm well aware that he was charged with manslaughter. I'm also aware he was convicted 'cos of the unbelievable neglect that lead to his patient's death. He was not monitoring his patient, he was not a trained anesthesiologist, he waited 45 minutes before calling 911, he tried to hide evidence, he provided CPR on a bed with one hand.
@bigbig You have to admit that the chips were stacked against Murray mainly because of the fact that MJ was a huge star. I agree that Dr Murray was negligent for leaving the room. But what we will never know is if MJ still would have died if Murray didnt step out to get that call. My point in the recording was that MJ was still going to die that day and nothing was going to change that. Dont lock up the man that tried to help him. It was Death that called Murray so he could take MJ home.
@Uchethegreat Are you saying it wasn't negligent of Murray to even be administering the propofol at all in the first place? Murray is guilty of much more than just what happened on June 25th. He was acting with gross negligence the second he agreed to give MJ propofol at all. And to say MJ would have died that day regardless of anything? This is reality! There wasn't a prophecy deeming his death that day or whatever the hell you mean. Nothing would have happened if NOBODY allowed him propofol.
@Uchethegreat "It was Death that called Murray so he could take MJ home."
I don't understand what you're trying to say here but like shoemanbundy said you're treating this like there was divine intervention. This is reality. A doctor gave dangerous treatment he shouldn't have and it resulted in a death. Michael was mistreated his whole life by people who wanted to portray him badly for just being different than others and you're no different in your excuse for an argument. You make me sick.
I don't think you understand what happened. ALL of the scenarios you listed are correct no one is on trial for that. Even Murray's expert witness said he would never leave a patient under propofol. That has never been done before. In hospitals you have to have a person whose sole job is to watch someone under propofol. You said going to answer his phone? For 40 minutes! The next time you have surgery and your doctor leaves you under an anesthetic for 40 minutes and you die let's see how u feel!
It is involuntary manslaughter because he gave Michael propofol and left the room for 40 minutes to talk to women. Propofol is an anesthetic that when you give it the heart stops. You have to bring the person back up which he did before. Murray is in prison because he gave a drug that puts a person under and left the patient for 40 minutes! How is Michael responsible for that! Dr. Murray was Michael's childrens doctor for years before he touched MJ. He had 1 job: watch you're patient. He left!!
To those that watched and left a comment I thank you for getting in on the conversation. I don't claim to be a expert in medical care. The question I raised wasn't answered by those that disagree. Who does the final responsibility of your heath fall on? MJ far from took care of himself health wise. Mj overworked himself and when he couldn't sleep he sought a Dr to treat him in his home because he knew the treatment was illegal.
@Uchethegreat That's the point, this was an illegal treatment. Michael was in danger only once he found someone to be his yes-man. Yes MJ was responsible for his own health but are you honestly saying Murray had a right to cash in on Mj's irrational request? As a doctor it was his job to seek Michael real help, not provide treatment he knows not a damn thing about. Fact is Mj would still be alive if nobody accepted to provide the propofol. You admit it's illegal yet defend him still. Nonsense...
@Uchethegreat Even thought MJ hired CM to give him propofol, Conrad Murray is still guilty. As a medical doctor he knew full well that propofol could kill him. So what did he do? He ordered 40 gallons of propofol. Lied about it and said it was for his medical clinic, when he knew full well it was for only one patient. MJ hired him to monitor him. In response he left the room and talked on the phone for 45 minutes, while the patient he was suppose to be monitoring struggled to breathe.
Plus, medical experts explained in detail during trial that had CM monitored MJ, called 911 immediately, and had the proper medical equipment MJ would still be alive. That's why CM is guilty! His gross negligence caused the death! You might want to watch the entire trial at gurgle1624's channel before commenting on the verdict. The evidence proved he was definitely guitly!
@transitionalphase No sir you are wrong. As you just stated, if everything was perfect MJ would still be alive. Why didnt MJ go to a hospital and have his treatment? DId Conrad stop him from doing that? No!! If MJ sought to get treatment at a hospital instead of building one without the proper equipment he would still be alive.
@Uchethegreat Did you even bother to watch the trial?! Then you really can't make an intelligent argument about this matter because you don't have ALL the facts that were presented in the case against CM! As a trained medical doctor CM does bear responsibility for his part. He violated his hippocratic oath. MJ paid with his life and now CM must pay with the lost of his license. Had you taken the time to watch the trial you would understand why CM deserved a guilty verdict!
Doctors & nurses are responsible for killing people out of gross negligence & carelessness everyday, everywhere, they just don't go to trial for it, this one did. As far as trying to SAVE someone & they don't succeed, well that can't be held against them, but when they make careless judgement by assuring everyone it's fine to do this & then the person ends up killed, that's a different story. They are doctors, they see the signs, they shouldn't play optimistic, they should be CAUTIOUS.
You don't come off as a very smart person to me sorry to say. How can you compare someone dying during care in a hospital or during surgery to someone dying from a improper use of anasthetic in a non-professional setting? There's no similarity there whatsoever!!! This whole video feels like it was made without even having any real argument for your opinion...
