Oooo Resource-Based Economy. Sounds so scary. It's the most logical concept I've ever heard of. When people mistaken this as NWO, it is because they are missing the fact that we live on a finite planet (no matter if you like it or not) and that this calls for a global resource management (or order if you will). Unlike the NWO proposition, this is a system that is there to preserve our planet and all of humanity, instead of destroying it. Sounds pretty good to me. Quit being paranoid folks.
Tx I agree with all of it. I have a question about the stratification of society. I believe that classism/power is the root of all evil. Does this system try to deal with this? and how? Because doctors/engineers will always have a higher value to society than say cooks/artists...and I feel that a job like a Dentist/surgeon would need a lot of incentive because it deals with less than beautiful imagery on a daily basis...what about schooling? need info on incentives and typical work hours.
@missbutter81 There is no money or ownership an a Resource Based Economy, so therefore there is no class. As long as you use money and ownership there will be class, poverty, hunger, wars, pollution, high rates of crime etc.
Everything you need is free for all including education, you can learn whatever you want, however you want, at your own pace, by yourself or with whatever teachers are available.
The incentive is helping your fellow humans, work is voluntary, with machines doing most.
Come on everyone lets chat. I have a question do you feel that we should work towards a Resource Based Economy With the Occupy Movement? In my personal views i think is something we should absolutely strive for.
Honestly can you think of a better solution that would achieve better then what a Resource Based Economy could. Removing the limitation of the monetary system. Allowing true creativity and freedom to prosper without the limitation of cost or greed filled competition based on money.
@KamidakeRed I think that the Occupiers of Wall Street need to understand that reform within the system isn't gonna cut it. I think its a great opportunity to start getting people to change the way they think....
@KamidakeRed I do think this is exactly what we should do. It would not be as difficult as most would assume. Someone just needs to have a fully detailed plan to deliver to anyone, no matter what their ideological indoctrination. But recent events have definitely improved my stamina. We are closer than we think!
@KamidakeRed I agree with you. I just wish there were more realistic, day-to-day examples of this type of system. I want to know what a typical life would look like in it, and what types of jobs, transportation, small businesses like local restaurants/clothing shops...would all of these exist in a resource-based economy? How would a typical street look? and will all streets look exactly alike? who will do which jobs? what about schooling? PJ needs to be very specific for ppl to get behind this.
@missbutter81 Well that's easy. What could you do in a world without money. Okay take me for example i'm a chef. i would open a restaurant and cook for the public my incentive would be different i'm not cooking to make money i cooking to better my skill and to share it with people. Like Art. i world without money is based on improving yourself. think of all those fashion designer they could make Art without limitations the goal is to better yourself and share that wit the world around you.
@missbutter81 There must be something you love doing. Forget money what would you do where would you go right now if money wasn't an issue No limitations you could do or create anything you heart could imagine A RBE would be about enriching yourself those you love and care about and the world around you. transportation would still be there shops all that. but with a different incentive transportation would clean energy car all of that street would be what ever you could think of color art music
@missbutter81 Well since Education would be free. people could choose whatever it is they would like to do people that love medicine or have dream of finding cures for illnesses or science and discovery they would be the doctors. Education would be limitless life itself would be education personal growth without limitations. We would live in a sharing type culture. Business as you know it today would be different in a RBE where money is not a factors of life.
@missbutter81 Let me give you an example of a supermarket. it would look the same for the most part but behind the sense a automated system would be stocking shelves keeping track of good and ordering what is running. okay your in the market you get your cart you get your item you scan and walk out. No money is used the only reason you have to scan it is so the computer of the store knows what to reorder and how much. if there something you want that they don't have just like today you order it
@missbutter81 Okay Transportation there would still be trains but they run on clean energy no more pollution generation system. Cars now cars or different in my way but we have something like what i'm about to tell you today. maybe you've heard of "Zip Car' which is like a car that you can rent then when your done bring back. it would be something like that in a RBE but without money you see a car on the street you hop in and drive is a community car ill explain more i'm running out of text.
@missbutter81 Okay Cars you see how today cars sit around of hours out of the day in a RBE those cars could be used by someone cars would be community used. Yes you can also have your personal car that just for you but over all Cars would be community used like this say i'm in my restaurant for 8 hours during that time someone take the car i was using and they us it when i'm do with work i just get another car to us kind like a shopping cart in a supermarket.
@missbutter81 Also about shop okay thing of this say you don't have a item that you need like for example a row boat. You could go to a distribution center and get one just like you would at a Library with book. That system is set up that way so you don't have to personal store everything at your home. You can if you want but that up to you its just like an Option These distribution centers would have anything you need like a huge Costco but free and like a library
Is there anything else you would like to know please feel free to ask me, i don't have all the answer but i can help you with what i know and can point you in the direction to information that could help you
