Top 5 event of 1974? 1)Henry Aaron Breaks Babe Ruth Home Run Record,2)Electric Lights Orchestra,3)Charleston Heston In the Movie Earthquake,4)Sonny Chiba In the Movie Street Fighter, and 5)Barry White Can't Get Enough of Your Love Baby.
this was one of my favorite childhood songs i'd always ask my dad to play this song whenever my family goes on a road trip. heck i still remember the cd and track no. he had it on the car stereo
I thought this was Al Green singing with her at first, the Spinners are laying it down SO smooth! You can feel this is Dionne REALLY working to put out her best on this one because when she starts getting into it she doesn't miss a single note while still being REALLY soulful.
I can call my siblings up on the phone right now at whatever time it is and say, "Every since I met you..." by the time it's time for the next line, they chime in in harmony with, "Seems I can't forget you". After all these years... MUSIC BABY!
OK.,The first time I heard this song we were on vacation in the 1973 Buick Elerctra 225 going to the Grand Canyon from Bakersfield, CA. now we were a church family. my daddy was a deacon then. He loved this song when we heard it on the radio! I will never forget how he couldn't wait to buy this when we got back home. Everybody in the family all eight of us worn this song out!
O yes, the many memories of Miss Fatini and Mr. Latta. Two of the best teachers in the history of Wirth Junior High. Great days listening to this song in home room class. Thanks for the memories.
One of many many 70s highlights for the masterful Detroit Spinners. Check out 'Are You Ready for Love' their collaboration with Elton John in 1977. Pure Thom Bell genius.
