The graphic card is fine but your CPU is too weak, P4 is too old now, you need at least dual core CPU to run good! (GIRD and Assasin creed will run best on core 2 duo or better), so you need two core CPU! I recommand you to update your CPU! To play smooth a game you both need powerfull card and powerfull CPU, only powerfull card is not enought!

You were wrong! Core 2 Duo is more expensive than Dual core! Core 2 Duo is faster than Dual core, they both have 2 cores but Core 2 Duo has better technology and core 2 duo use socket 775 too.

PCI Express can not run AGP card! That is sure! Some first mother board socket 775 model have both AGP and PCI Express slot on it. But now i cant see them on store! Most mainboard now are only have PCI Express, some old models have AGP. When you buy mainboard, read manufacture's info carefully to make sure that board has AGP slot! Good luck!

And for a Graphic card choose a good brand like ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, XFX...You show me 2 brands are ASUS and XFX, they are good brands, you can choose one of them that you like! ASUS is litle more expensive than XFX. If i were you i will choose ASUS, but it is your choice! oh, no! 9800GT and HD4850 need a same power, if you can run 9800GT you can run HD4850! HD4850 doesn't need strong power supply, you just need it when you run HD4850 at crossfire mode! If you like HD 4850 more than 9800GT buy HD4850! It is not a problem!

Yes it will run this game well on that specs but not in DX10 because you use Window XP! The game never run with DX10 with Window XP, some moder made DX10 for XP but believe me it is not work this game will run at DX9! You must use Vista OS to run DX10 games! Goodluck and have a nice day!

PCI Express can not run AGP card! That is sure! Some first mother board socket 775 model have both AGP and PCI Express slot on it. But now i cant see them on store!
