Jan Akkerman is an arrogant guitarplayer who could not compare with Andy Tielman or Rene Nodelijk. A dumbo that thought he could play for Rockers at the Hourrusthallen (The Hague) with Bill Haley in the early 70 ties...ha ha..what a mess he was there!

Doe Maar wasn't a 60's Nederbeat group.  This is a conversation about 60's Dutch beat bands singing in English. As alexdelaville pointed out, HET was the one band that sung most of their songs in Dutch, not English. The Outsiders, Golden Earrings, Q65, The Motions, The Zipps, etc. sung in English. Why? Because English is the universal language of rock 'n' roll.
