Living here in the USA, i think they shout a bit much but their commentary is VERY good. Steve Matchett is very knowledgeable technically, David Hobbs analyzes the tracks well and Bob Varsha holds the whole thing together perfectly.
Coming from a NASCAR background (switching to an open wheel fan in late 2006), the chemistry between Bob, David, and Steve is much like Mike Joy, Larry McReynolds, and Darrell Waltrip. (Only a bit more brutally honest!)
Nothing against David or Steve (both are great commentators!) but I feel that the US F1 brodcasts should include an American driver, namely: Eddie Cheever.
I beg to differ. James Allen got on my last nerve although Martin Brundle is great. The BBC should have a great commentary team this year with Eddie Jordan, DC, and Martin Brundle. I still love the Speed commentators more though, I think they're awesome.
Yes Danny was great too. To be honest I dont really care what nationality the commentator is, just as long as they arent annoying and actually know what they are talking about.
I have followed Bob Varsha since the '80s when he was on Motorweek Illustrated with Dave Despain. He still has good looking hair to this day, despite a few gray hairs
I like David Hobbs. Bob Varsha is great I remember him from when he used to commentate CART in the good ol days, but Steve Matchett is my favorite tho.

Too bad we Yanks won't get to see that. Eddie, David, and Martin are a humerous enough separately; together they should be a riot!
Another American F1 veteran who is a great commentator is Danny Sullivan; I liked his CART commentary.

the middle one has a VERY annoying voice... not accent, but VOICE... bob varsha is great, considering that he's into F1 as an american!

Steve Matchett is beyond pretty cool, frankly. The best color commentary in the business.
