@redpanda503 That usually means that you're using the demo version or an illegal download. If you know your software is kosher, then you'll need to re-install it, as the Cycore effects are part of the standard installation of After Effects.
Could you use the CC Ball action with video to produce a pixelly rough cut TV effect? Or would something else in AE work to produce the static effect?
@FOREFFECTS you just move the last keyframe in abit, the closer the last keyframe is to the start, the faster the thext will be, as it has less time to cover the same distance, speeding them up.
Thank you for a wonderfully explained tutorial. I am working on a highlight reel of my sons hockey season. This could work well in the intro. Thank you so much for the creative inspiration!
@yaymans The CC Sphere layer uses the text layer as its basis. Move the text, and the CC Sphere layer will reflect the changes. If it's not moving, it's because you haven't set the keyframes on your text correctly.
Many Thanks for a quick reply. Yes you are right, I was using CamStuio with it's lossless codec. It was capturing 200fps (funny), but great quality, then I found solution to convert that AVIs in H.264 MOV 24fps using FormatFactory. And It was working great. But you are right again. It has no extra functions. Thanks anyway! - Nikhil
@nikhilcpatel I seem to recall that I had some success with using the 'Interpret Footage' feature in After Effects and setting the Alpha Transparency value to Ignore. But if your system isn't broken then don't try and fix it :)
@nikhilcpatel Thanks. I use Camtasia Recorder to capture the screen, then Camtasia Studio to manually create the zoom points, (I also take out all the stumbles and restarts, here.) There is a free screencap tool called CamStudio that you can use if you're on a PC, but I've had problems editing the material it creates (screen capture codecs are very efficient, but not edit-friendly).
@adamharrison180 Sounds like what you're looking at is a watermark from an unlicensed/unregistered plug-in. There's a really easy way of fixing this - buy a legal copy of the software, instead of ripping stuff off demonoid.
@petenicezz optical flares is a pack from videocopilot. I have no tutorials that fit this description, but was planning on doing a panavision lens flare effect tutorial in the not-too-distant future. I'll let you know when I get around to it.
@JohnCenafan790 that's a really good question - not with cc ball action, but you might be able to apply the Mosaic effect to the end result to square everything off. I'll look into it and get back to you.
@JohnCenafan790 Apply the mosaic effect to the text layer and Dark LEDs layer. Make sure you match the horizontal and vertical block values to the number of LEDs in your signboard. If you're using the project file that comes with this tute, those values will be 83 horizontal and 18 vertical.
@lazarotheboss123 Unless Vegas has changed a lot since I last looked, you can't do this kind of thing with it. (It's really just a video editing app, not an fx/compositing app).
@KAPOWH4XZ - CC Ball Action has been in After Effects for as long as I remember, so it should be installed as standard. Run the installation process again.
thank you! didnt realize it was so easy :)
