  • This hit by Fats Domino hit #3 on the Top 40 charts, #1 on the Rhythm & Blues charts, and #12 in the United Kingdom. It would finish at #25 for the year, 1956. And the hits are getting bigger.

  • EARLY FAT"S HE WAS GREAT THEN AND STILL IS NOW .YOU LISTEN TO HIS MUSIC AND YOU CAN'T KEEP STILL.THANKS FAT'S

  • My brother Richard earl gagon played the sax like that , I miss my brother he passed a while back but he"ll always be with me in music

  • Just great

  • I want to give him a hug.

  • 240p, we meet again...

  • :D mateiiis....im 17 :D and i love it haha....oooo baaaabbbyyyy

  • Anyone think that simple, non-distorted music will ever become popular again?

  • @popeinc i really love metal, so I like distorsion ;)

    however, this music is GREAT!

  • @popeinc Let the others listen to their crap...to have only cool people listen to this is better anyway! :-D

  • This era had REAL music. Just the singer and their instruments. Nothing else. Pure talent. Gods walked the earth then. Modern day singers could take notes and learn something.

  • always loved this guy his smile was 1000 mega watts

  • I know there are less of us who like this music ( i too feel displaced in my generation) but stick to what you like. Music is special to everyone of us. Don't fall into the pressures of today's music. As long as it's in ur heart it'll live on.

  • George Harrison cites this song as the first 'rock and roll' record he remembered hearing.

  • who ever dislikes this has ZERO taste in music and apparently has never heard good music before

  • Ya know, Im only 33yrs old..and this is my all time favorite kind of music. I credit my mom and dad for instilling the love for the oldies in me as a child. I honestly dont feel I belong in my time..I feel my soul belongs to this time period. Very few people my age feel this way about this kind of music and I think thats just tragic. With that said, OMG I LOVE FATS!

  • @MzDixieDarlin I'm 33 as well, and I feel so out of place with my generation. I like older music, older television shows, and movies. There are others like us out there, but I don't think there are very many. People were more soulful and creative back then for some reason. Everything seems so superficial and bland now in comparison.

  • @MzDixieDarlin exactly

  • Can anyone top that!

  • Fats Domino is one of the fathers and innovators of rock and roll: ROCK AND ROLL IS HERE TO STAY!

  • Dam I am really getting old, brings back the good old car hop days.

  • god i used to dance to this with my first husband down at the orchid ballroom how time flies great memories

  • whoooee!! go get um Fats!! phyllis....

  • You go Fat's

  • It ROCKS!

  • if each piano key was a twinkie, this song would turn into a saxophone solo...

  • Love this song! Great talent Fats Domino! Rod

  • Actually Elvis and Fats did sing together, not on a record, but there's still some old film around somewhere - search around, you should be able to find it. The sound prolly won't be too great, but what the hay - it's still awesome stuff. And Fats is still with us - my sis, who works for FEMA, was there when he was rescued from his home after Catrina. Rock on Fats - we will always love you.

  • such a friendly face =D

  • I heard Elvis use to invite Fats Domino to play piano at graceland in the early yrs. I think he may have payed him, but could you imagine them 2 singing together on a record? Priceless !!

  • and I'd like to pinch his cheeks - choochy choo!!! he reminds me of the porter of a block of flats my mum used to live London a couple of years back. Cheers Solomon! lots of kisses and happy retirement in your country Zimbabwe.

  • Those were the days when music truly rocked & rolled like never before & never since...

  • He cuts todays Top 40 off at the knees!!

  • love this song great talent

  • A #1 hit for Fats Domino and his second #1 hit on the R&B charts in the Rock Era. I hope that every artist of today, black and white, remembers who helped set the table for them. Fats was one of them as he appealed to both races. You're the best, FD.

  • Sure he did basically the same thing his entire career, but how can you not love the Fat Man?

  • THIS IS REAL MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I've loved that man since 1955! Glad he's still with us!

  • a legend!

  • Old videos like this show the true greatness and energy from the 50's start of rock and roll. Look for the Little Richard, Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry old ones. Also, Jerry Lee Lewis and Jackie Wilson. All better than the great Elvis.

  • Brought him a keg of Heiniken for his birthday. Really a humble men. Loves all of his fans. I'll tell him hi for you!

  • ....a beer with a living legend? Every time....:)

This music is timeles & wonderfull....

  • Fats Domino was one the best! love his music when i

was a teen! ... seems just like yesterday .....ah .... wasn't

    it just yesterday? .... hmmmm

  • The big man rocks and he's saving all his love in jail for you!!

  • today is Fat's 82nd birthday! Happy Birthday Fats Domino~!

    2/26/10

  • @marcidog Praise God -he's still with us!!! Wow!!!

He's got many years on me - I plan on living a good

long life too ... I'm just getting going!.....lol!

  • God bless Fats Domino and New Orleans!

  • Love this song...:)

  • He's tha man!

  • Nice to see the original version of this song. Larry Norman did a cover version of it with mostly different lyrics. great old song!

  • @phyllo65 Ricky de Nelson also did a little known version back then

  • grande di nome e di fatto

  • irresistable

  • Luv it! Who wrote it? I think Rick Nelson deserves an honorable mention on his version. He brought rock & roll into middle America's living room! Parents seemed to think it wasn't so evil when Ozzie & Harriet did it!

  • this is simply beauty

  • Really love this song... but did you notice he fluffed the piano in the first 3 seconds hehe. Not that I could play it, of course...

  • i paced myself dizzy at work today with this in my head thinking about her

  • Love this song. Smashing brings back so many memorys.Paul x

  • me too re Paul

  • Fantastic Fats !!!!

    thank you

  • For all of those who don't have a clue about Fats, they need to read Blue Monday Fats Domino and the lost dawn of Rock 'N' Roll by Rick Coleman

Fats was the King of Rock and Roll!!!!!

  • he is still alive and kickin`

  • 1955 music is cool

  • thats REAL music

  • When was this classic tune first released, Berlin? 1956?

  • Why would a great American Artist, have like this, have a song release in Berlin first? Was it racism? Not saying it was, but it was the 50's after all. Just wondering is all.

  • I saw Fats live in the 50's in a skating rink show in Rochester NY. He greased his hair down with Royal Crown pomade. He drove a pink cadillac, he played long into the night. He was so good!

  • I'd like to smoke a joint with Fats.

  • i'd like to have a beer with Fats, he seems like a cool dude.

  • Maybe durin´ a seance u could...lol

  • I have been drinking a lot of beer with Mr. Domino, and his favorite is Heiniken.

  • @slackereric skip the beer and you will be ok

  • @slackereric

He is a real cool dude.

  • Eenie meenie and miney-mo
