  • @lenremegio my mum died to, when i was 8 :(

  • B.E.A.U.T.FULL Song and Lovely Voice This Song So Nice

  • cool but not all that cool.sorry

  • What is the spirit of Christmas, but the atmosphere of kindness which speaks out in times of loneliness with a gentle, enduring reminder that we are not alone because we have the mercy of each other; not without purpose, because others need our mercy?

  • @JoshuaH688 actually joshua, the spirit of Christmas should be the thankfulness to GOD, that His prophecy was fulfilled and HE did indeed send the perfect "lamb of GOD who takes away the sins of the world", to those who "believe on His name". unfortunately the spirit of Christmas has turned into crass buying frenzies where people are hating each other with the crowds in the malls, walmart, kmart, spending more than they have to get people presents that they will return the day after.

  • @2009mjwb Narcissism on the left and Ignorance on the right stand ready to bar the gates of truth. Leave God out of it, and leave Consumerism out of it. Don't turn Christmas into an excuse to preach and peddle. In the end, I don't care about what you buy or what you worship. I came only about who you are and what you do. People mistake human kindness for the kindness of God and confuse the buying of gifts with the spirit of giving. Light should shine like a candle, not a flamethrower.

  • @JoshuaH688 how sadly mistaken you are. only thru GOD can you understand what true loving kindness is. HE teaches us to love beyond ourselves. human love, left to itself, is all about me and how you make me feel about me. even if i give, most of the time, its about patting myself on the back for my kindness, giving deeds, what a nice person i am, or i want others to like me. GOD's love goes beyond me, and i give because i'm giving to HIM, regardless of how i feel today, or who you are.

  • @2009mjwb And what is God? A person? A personality? Are we so small minded as to view God as the heathens did, portraying the supreme governor of the universe in our image for lack of broader imagination? Would you give credit to this personage of God for all goodness while blaming the personality of Satan for all evil? What of personal responsibility? What is faith, but the pledge of ignorance in exchange for the promise of security? What would God be without human representation?

  • @JoshuaH688 i believe humans have the complete capability to be dark and evil all on their own. you can see it all around. the secular mind, however, very often calls evil good, and good evil, so they're blinded to what is actually going on around them. the secular mind may believe that putting a hole in a babys head and sucking out the brains (partial birth abortion), is a good thing. perversion and debauchery they might call "embracing the differences). GOD gives the standard of goodness.

  • @2009mjwb The standard of God waved high over the bloody battlefields of the Crusades. There wasn't much Christmas spirit there.

  • @JoshuaH688 i have an inkling suspicion you're jewish. am i right? i hear those arguments all the time. the crusades were conducted by the roman catholic vatican. it's an organization (whose first 6 popes were jewish) that is a perversion of what true GODliness is all about. they also killed many true believers in Yeshua. believers were burned at the stake as heretics for possessing a Bible. the vatican was sole arbiter of peoples salvation instead of Yeshua. search for His truth only.

  • @2009mjwb Negative. I was member of a conservative branch of the Nazarene church. I consecrated my heart and life to Jesus Christ at an altar there - a decision which at the time changed my life positively - and later attended Seminary with the hopes of being a missionary to Japan. I harbor no bitterness toward that time of my life. I do not deny the good in Christianity or religion in general. I simply grew out of my faith in God much as a child grows out of faith in Santa Claus.

  • @JoshuaH688 that's too bad, joshua because GOD loves the simple humble heart of a child and his faith.

  • @2009mjwb Faith placed in that which one knows does not exist is a mandate to make it exist. It is knowledge of darkness which mandates the convention of light; and so faith in a power which will not bring hope is inferior to faith in hope which does not exist; for by believing in that non-existent hope, the believer is compelled to become the founder and personification of hope; not to cast faith in a standard of goodness, but to live by a standard of goodness.

  • @JoshuaH688 then it's a good thing that i'm 100% certain that He is. when i look at the hills around me, the trees, the rivers, the ocean, my dogs eyes, the debauched state of our nation and see the more we've turned away from Him, the more greedy, unethical, corrupt and debauched our nation has become. His laws of life, love, societal, psychological, moral, familial, all are life sustaining and loving. the other is life draining and sucking. as He said "I came to give you life..abundantly"

  • @2009mjwb There you go again, describing God as "He". Really? Of course, nature provides evidence of supreme law, even an intelligent force of creation; but does it provide evidence of "Him"? No! There is no man-like god sitting on a giant throne in space. Such an idea is little save a vestige of old mythology from the ancient age. 100% certainty of the unproven is foolishness; as if to say I shall live forever because I believe that I am immortal.might prolong my life? Nonsense.

  • @JoshuaH688 you can only hope that what you say is true and have faith in it. you say adamantly, what you want to be true, but you really don't know, do you. He's proven to me. as the song, so beautifully says "i know that my Redeemer liveth". all of nature proves Him and what He says to be true. if you were searching for truth instead of being so dogmatic in the ramblings of your own mind, you might ask Him what's truth.

  • @2009mjwb Refusal to cast faith in the unproven isn't dogma. Dogma is insistence upon something for its own sake. I know it is possible that I might be wrong in part or in full. We don't know what God is because we lack the perspective necessary to answer such a question. In any case, faith in God is to "Away in A Manger" what belief in Santa Claus is to "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." It's less about Santa and more about giving spirit; less about God, more about grace and love.

  • @JoshuaH688 "faith is the thing hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" Bible. i know you would hope for those around you to have grace, love and a giving spirit. joshua, honestly, that doesn't happen apart from GOD. you may sense some of that because there is a remnant still left of the christian culture we used to have. there is a pseudo-giving, demanded by the secular left, to the poor and homeless, where they steal from some to give to others, because they want a secular, marxist utopia

  • @2009mjwb have you ever read any of c.s. lewis? a good one for you to read would be "pilgrims regress"

  • @2009mjwb As a matter of fact, "The Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis played a major role in my choice to abandon Christianity. While I was in Bible College, somebody got his books on tape and I listened to them. His imaginative story telling opened my mind to the beauty of mythology and fantasy. I realized that there were more ideas worthy of my observation than merely those of Christianity, and it started with C.S. Lewis.

  • @JoshuaH688 so you decided to "abandon christianity" because your mind was opened to the beauty of mythology and fantasy. you realized there were more ideas worthy of your observation than merely those of christianity. well, hmmm. what you had was not faith in GOD, but merely a religion you decided to give up. if that's all i had, i guess i would give that up too, but in your quest to follow your heart, the Lord says "the heart is deceitful above all things, who can know it".

  • @2009mjwb Actually, I'm not talking about communism as much as enlightened selfishness: The realization that the absolute best, most selfish thing any one may do for himself is to invest in the welfare of others - not because others demand grace, nor because God demands graceful living, but because he is himself enlightened. Only if faith is the evidence of things not seen is it the substance of things hoped for. Belief it what isn't seen isn't the same as belief in what isn't proven.

  • @JoshuaH688 there is no such thing as "enlightened selfishness". highminded words, but in that context, it's left to the meanderings of your own mind, just what "enlightened" is and just what the "welfare of others" constitutes. i hope your not satisfied with the constructs of your own mind and will search for truth, instead of chasing your own tail. how will you know when you've reached "enlightenment"? your own mind will tell you?

  • @2009mjwb Nobody reaches pure enlightenment, because nobody knows everything. That's the point. Enlightenment, in the most attainable possible interpretation, is admitting that you don't know everything, not "filling in the blanks" of what you don't understand with unsubstantiated claims of unproven "truth". If your own mind can't be trusted, then what? Shall you trust the mind of another to convey God's will? Shall you speak to yourself and interpret as divine the echo of your thoughts?

  • @JoshuaH688 "lean not unto your own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path". no, joshua, if i don't understand something, i tell Him i don't understand, and at some point, He shows me. all of life confirms Him and His ways. something will happen or i will meet someone going thru something, or it may be a multiple of things, where He makes it clear to me, that is His way. all His ways add up into ultimate truth. he may not answer for quite a while.

  • @JoshuaH688 and always remember what the Lord said "there is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof is the ways of destruction". happy searching.

  • @2009mjwb When you want to get to the airport and ask the Taxi driver why he's driving the wrong direction and he says "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is destruction", do you trust your own reason or his faith? Does it not seem strange that an all-powerful God should provide his sacred writings via the minds and pens of men? How many have done their deeds and spoke their pieces in the name of God and of gods? Many, and all with fervor of conviction!

  • @JoshuaH688 if i'm riding in that taxi drivers cab, and he tells me i shouldn't go that way, i'm going to trust him. he may, very well, know something i don't. no, it doesn't seem strange that He would trust men of great honor, integrity and faith to write His sacred writings. if all of the writings didn't add up to the same perfection and ways of the Lord, but were all over the map on ideas, i wouldn't trust their writing. but over and over, it's the same love, honor and integrity.

  • @2009mjwb , JoshuaH688

My goodness, can't you two leave the religious commentary for a more appropriate site and not ruin other's enjoyment of this beautiful rendition??

    thank you

  • @sassyreggae this song is about Yeshua, the Messiah, the Creator, come to earth to "lay down his life a ransom for many". the greatest event in history. it's not just some cozy little event so you could sit by your fire roasting chestnuts with a christmas tree, lighting up your living room. "for unto you is born this day, in the city of david, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord". if that's not beautiful, i don't know what is.
