  • That was mad helpful thanks man

  • @Cassellthebeatmaker No problem check out Part 2 alot better per I was only it 3 days in this video. In Part 2 I had more time on it.

  • sorry- I just saw a few others asked and saw the reply...gotta mess with it...thanks.

  • 1 question, (sorry if its so basic)- How do I set the pads so that after i slice the samples up the first pad will stop when I hit the second pad and so on..instead of playing thru the whole sample each time i hit the pads? so it re-triggers rather than play everything all thru, if that makes sense... Thanks, and great tutorial..

  • @RegionRecords219 I feel you I have a reply vid posted above take a look at it as it goes into greater detail with updated info since I made this original video it will answer mostly all of your questions fam.

  • Subscribed! Great job my dude, keep em coming!!

  • this vid definitly cleared up troubles i had on my new maschine but one question. i chopped up a sample and created a melody but i wanna introduce the song with the original sample. my chopped melody is in 1/4 but the beginning intro is too short for it which creates a gap after its over. i guess how do you timestretch it to go perfectly from intro sample to chopped melody without that gap?

  • @DJchupacabrah Maschine doesnt time stretch as of yet but you can make the samples stretch in your host daw then drop them into maschine. I have a newer reply vid posted check it out

  • from what song is that sample you are using?

  • @telekiddd I dont reveal samples lol but I have a VIP member thats only 9.99 with no monthly fees and I give away tons of free Drum Kits and Beats as well as custom drum kits. I have VIP Sample chops and sample in some kits. Check out the reply vid above as I have a custom maschine kit with lots of free samples

  • The introduction isn't long enough. Make it three hours and then I'll return and watch.

  • nice man, thanks I'm thinking of buying a Maschine Mikro mostly for the software it looks so clean

  • @JujuARod Yeah I feel you Bro Did you check out my reply vid yet ??

  • ok found it awsome

  • @alexknaz Glad you enjoyed if you thought thats was dope check out my reply vid

  • what do i gotta do so the sample doesn't play full out. Iv'e chopped it up in bits, but if i hit, lets say the 1st pad twice, the sample just starts playing on top of it, it's pissing me off, what do it do `

  • @alexknaz Use ADSR mode this will allow you to hold the button to play a sound , when you release the button it stop the sample. If you are in OneShot it will play out. another option is choke pads off with its self by setting the poly & choke to 1. You can even use a pad with no sounds on it to Kill another pad.

  • @DigitalMuzick great advice

  • @Elcylima Thanks check out Part 2 I go into greater detail I was new to maschine when I made this vid ;)

  • Great thanks!

  • @dimeclipent no problem

  • just got the maschine mikro and i just started making beats and i have to say it makes everything so easy its dope but also for producers out there instead of converting mp3s to wavs on protools or whatever just use this website. real talk makes it so much easier h t t p : / / m e d i a . i o /

  • How do you get it so that when you hit a pad that the pad you hit before it stops and the one you hit plays instead of all the slices just playing all over the top of each other whenever you hit a pad?

  • @mrjboogie921 This is called " Choking or Muting " All you have to do is assign the pads in the same choke group on maschine. You can do a couple or all of them you might want to use the one shot mode in addition with it. Or Some people use ADSR mode to hold and let go go of a pad for a sound to stop. I prefer OneShot Chokes , Hope that Helps. And oh The PolyPhony Set to 1 will max out the Chokes. Peace

  • @DigitalMuzick Thanks bro

  • @DigitalMuzick but how do you do it???

  • @baserocks1 Check out this vid

    youtube.com/watch?v=ctHUD0S2kqk

  • Sick vid. What sample did you use??

  • @PrinceE394 I never reveal samples lol but to be honest I really dont remember what sample it was lol

  • so when you chop a sample how do u chop it up like 1bar 2 bars long etc thats what i dont understand

  • @entyce66 Every sample is differant but you can chop it in bars starting on the first beat and have everything land on time in a 4/4 measure. In this vid thats what I did so I could get more out of the sample. Its hard to explain but you will get a differant track from if a sample. You can choose to hide it or just loop it. Just take your favorite parts of the sample and re-arrange it.

  • Whats good fam we are starting the new Year off right we have NEW Drum kits in the style your favorite producers like Timbaland , Just Blaze and Kanye West Just to name a few. All Beats and Kits for purchase Have a secure PayPal check out. Couldnt Hurt To Take a Look right ?? digitalmuzick(dot)yolasite(dot)Kom

  • Thank you for this video. Helped.. some.

  • @djcrumbz If you have any questions just let me know. This vid I had did when I was on it for only 3 days <---- I have learned alot since then I think I will do a 2012 version of this video to make it real dope and go through every step inch by inch thumbs up if you want me too

  • @DigitalMuzick I appreciate you big time bro. Real talk.

  • Im not sure how familiar you are with the mpc 4k but Im thinking about switching from that to the maschine, any major pros or cons you could let me know about? much appreciated.

  • Sample is nice, What is it?

  • i just got mine and made an aight beat. I'm gonna start sampling so thanks! check my page for my first song:]

  • good video. the reverb on your voice is completely unnecessary though

  • answer the phone bro lol

  • Great tutorial! It helped alot, but I have a question. I have a maschine mikro which im sure is just a smaller replica of the full size. But anyways, my question is how do you fine tune for your chops?

  • @THEREALTEHUTI Adjusting the start and end points on the edit screen. Use youCPU screen to adjust Mikro's screen may be a little hard to see on

  • wow man you're really humble!!! thanks!

  • @wheniod No problem fam glad I could help

  • @wheniod You are welcome

  • I bought a maschine mikro last week and i have a question, how do you record your sliced pattern? i hit the record button on the hardware than play my sliced pattern but it never shows up on the program nor does it play anything. idk if im doing something wrong

  • @DJchupacabrah Did you click the Apply or Apply to Function? Make Sure you use click the correct option or it will just copy the sample to another Sound. Once you see your slices mapped out on the screen erase them off the screen. They will still be on your sounds. Test your pads BEFORE you hit record.

  • The attack is useful if you want to take out drums from the sample If you chop your samples at the drum transients and then decrease the attack for each chop. This will help you hide the drums in samples dope feature

  • inspiring video dude, feel like getting one now. thanx

  • @wasupthere Thats whats up !!

  • Got my maschine today great vid can you please tell me how to turn one shot on? Im getting everything else so far but cant find how to turn one shot on. Thanks in advance man! Wicked vids by the way

  • @db2k10 Think you just covered it actually when you showed the choke group part being on 1. Im gonna try that.

  • @db2k10 @db2k10 Thanks yeah you can use the Choke Groups to cut certain pads off. You can also adjust the PolyPhony to reduce the Voices overlay. You can find the ADSR , AHD , or the One Shot Mode by pressing the Left and Right Scroll Button on the sound module.

  • I just got my maschine famo I need any all tips cuz man I don't know where to begin I sold my.mv8800 to get and I haven't made a beat today damn

  • @kinkalani No Doubt I got you click on the description and visit my page I have lots of vids on maschine

  • @projektcancer No Problem fam , yeah the built in effects can be found on the Tabs. First you wanna be sure where you wanna put the effect , either on the master channel , Group or on a sound itself or all. On the tab itself you click the arrow for the drop down menu. Once you find that screen look on your hardware so next time you can find it quick. Next time try just using the Hardware controller and soon you will be able to do it without even looking at the cpu ;)

  • @DigitalMuzick Thanks..the issue I actually have is that when I click the effect I want..it replaces the sound instead of inserting itself..yo you gotta teach me this stuff in ur down time or something..driving me nuts..I might have effed stuff up somewhere..lol...Thanks fam!

  • @projektcancer Yeah an Effect sound not replace a sound. Are you tring to add the effect to a wav sound or an instrument ?? If you are using an instrument on the 1st tab use tabs 2 - 4 for effects and dont touch the 1st tab with your instrument. If you just want to add say like reverb or delay etc to a sound use tabs 1-4 and select master , group , or sound. Master will put the effect for all groups. Group will just add the FX to that 1 group , and sound of course will be for that 1 sound.

  • @DigitalMuzick Ok cool,I just tried it now and it works..I was inserting the effect on the same tab as the sound. So that means I'm always left with 3 effects for each sound right(assuming I want to add an fx to a particular sound).

Also where can I get good parallel FX for Maschine?? I reckon I could use VSTs and stuff right??..how do I cancel pads(I assigned samples on 'em but don't need em anymore) on the hardware?...sorry for hitting you with these questions fam!!! Thanks

  • @projektcancer Right ,3 effects for Instruments or sounds. Then when you are making your beat You can have I think over 65 change ups in a scene. the first couple of tab scenes are 1-16 ,then it goes 17 - 34 , etc etc.For a good parallel compression yeah you are going to need an Eq & compression vst and a seperate track or two.To Choke pads assign then in the same choke group and drop the poly to like 2 or 1.Only delete sample maps from the grid not the pads or you will lose your chops

  • @projektcancer Right click on the pads themselves for linking sounds to play multiple sounds at once as a group or layer instrument plugins using the same midi channel. IE. multi layered synth sounds and layered drums or snares this will give you a more custom sound and stand out more as orignal with your productions. Hope that Helps fam.

  • @DigitalMuzick Wow!! Thanks man..I really appreciate your help..I will try 'em out now and maybe get back at you if anything bothers me. Thanks a lot!!

  • @projektcancer No Problem Glad I could Help :D

  • @DigitalMuzick Hi,I hope I don't look silly by asking this basic question..I have used up he pads for the 1st 16 scenes, how do I add more scenes??

  • @SlapKatRecords Your Welcome Fam :)

  • @DigitalMuzick thanks alot bro. . you help me out so much. i have one problem tho,

my samples are playing on there own once i start to record. im new so bare wit me

    Help!

  • @twinzinc I think once you mapped out your chops you didnt erase the maps on the grid. Erase the mappings on the grid and dont worry cause your pads will still be active for you to trigger your sounds, ok now Play with your pads and practice first and then hit record ,now you can hit your sound pads and put the audio where you want it and make adjustments. If you need more help hit me up

  • @DigitalMuzick yez zir it worked. thanks again.

  • Hey man, you say you can get Maschine to read mp3's ... pleassssse tell me how. Thanks for the great tutorial man! Helped out a lot

  • @Sytrusze Drag your MP3 , REX , AIFF or any format that you desire on your DAWS audio track. Then Export that Audio as a Wav. File. Maschine will now read that file. I could have said well just open maschine as a VST hit the sample button , and get the audio from the MP3 from that audio track routed to maschine but that would just be a waste of time in my opinion when you can just convert the MP3 in your DAW. If you are sampling from an ipod etc just use your interface INPUTS. Hope that helps ;)

  • @Sytrusze Glad it helped You out. This vid I had did on the 3rd day I had maschine so I was pretty green on it lol. There are alot of short cuts to make the process even faster now that I have gotten advanced on it I may do an update of this vid. You can pad link sounds like the MPC's on Drums and VST's , Hold Multiple sounds on one sound pad , Paint automation , Stretch with the grain tool ,and wow so much more. it will come natural I look back on this Vid i was like wow I have improved on it.

  • Hey man thanks for the tutorial...Well done

  • @zentradingcompany No Problem Fam

  • Great Video! But how do control the pad to play only when you are pressing it?

  • @MrHeavytunes Use the ADSR Mode

  • @DigitalMuzick Man you are a genius! Thanks so much, and keep the videos comin!

  • @MrHeavytunes I wouldnt say Im a Genius..But Since you put it that way lol No Doubt Fam I got you and I have lots of New vids on Pro Tools 8/9 Maschine & Ableton 8 on my Webpage.

  • @MrHeavytunes Just keeping you up to date you can also right click to change pattern banks for a more detailed performance. You can also pad link to group sounds or Instruments. Did you know on the MAP screen you can drag multiple sounds on ONE sound pad?? Dont forget you can tag your sounds kinda like opening the containing folder on maschine where your sounds are kept. On the Edit Tab You can truncate , Reverse etc. Figured i'd catch you up Fam ;) All can be done Internally or Externally

  • @MrHeavytunes ADSR mode you will find this by pressing the Module button on your controller

  • how do you get your sample to keep playing after you hit the pad

  • @bigsmoots1 You set the length of your pattern first. Then on the sample screen there is a button that says loop. Press That icon if you want it to loop.

  • yo digital. i have to say bruh.. I have watched almost EVERY video by all these young jokers, who seem to be using youtube & their maschine to be a 'internet celebrity'.. i almost gave up on finding a vid to learn anything about maschine. YOU ARE THE ONLY DUDE I HAVE FOUND TO REALLY GIVE A GOOD EDUCATIONAL VID ON MASCHINE. i never saw your face once. amazing. great tutorial. i wish youtube would delete all these other jokers vids.. almost all r bullshit, including f major.. buncha wannabe's

  • @saintsbruh I appreciate that Big dawg !!!

  • man thank you, this made me fully understand the whole chopping procedure on this maschine.

  • @djddub No doubt yeah I remember this vid it was day 3. Man I have come a long since then. You will love the Pad mode with your Midi controller , and Duplicating scenes is a snap. You can sample from internal or external devices , browse sounds and tag them for easy access. The note repeat can go as high as 64th notes 8 banks each with 16 pads and each pad can layer like over 100 sounds. Its the mpc killa it just does it all its a beast.

  • @djddub Again you are welcome fam

  • Ey if you just press the apply button it will spread the chops across the keyboard in the piano roll. I never drag each individual slice to a new sound slot.

  • @kingkongo420

same way i do it. Cuts it in half.

  • @kingkongo420 no doubt I was new to it at that time lol

  • Great video man

  • @MrFuNkYoBrien thanks bro !!

  • Maschine is a beast !!!!!!
