Simply brilliant. I love Jason's version of Hallelujah! I find nothing wrong.  The off key made it more heart felt, pauses in the right place...I can see why some are loyal to the older versions but once I heard this one, I'm sold. I didn't even watch season 7 of AI, with no preferences to any of the contestants...I just found this version on youtube and loved it...now that, again, is because it's BRI - LI - ANT :).

I am definately not a fan of Jason Castro, but this is the first time I'm hearing this cover (read about it on Yahoo) and I'm honestly impressed. The original song is sang with emotion, Jason is trying to immitate that, that's why he's breathing the way he is. While nothing will top the original, he did this song a justice.
