Things spawn weird sometimes in this game. If you hit that turtle on 3-1 and walk with it, the koopas won't spawn inside the bullet holes. Something similar happens on 7-2 with the fire rings and platforms. No idea how that works..

if you jump over the flag in world 3-1 you go to a warp pipe leading to level 1. Why Nintendo? Why?

I remember that damn "maze" to get to the boss. My sister and brother and I memorized the right path to the boss. After a few times you memorize the right path.

I thought all the Mario mushrooms were power-ups..including that Purple one. If I'm not mistaken..when we saw the Attract Mode, Mario got the Purple Mushroom and died.

About that power shroom at the beginning of the movie: once they pop out of a block they will travel in the direction you were looking at when you hit the block. It's normally not an issue, but this particular one is a lot easier to catch when he pops out going left. ;0)
