You cannot seriously consider an Austin Allegro, aka 'ALL AGGRO' to be a classic car?? lol Even as a small boy of seven, I knew the ALL AGGRO was a complete dog of a car! It is unbelievable what some people deem desirable & worthy of covetting. Ummm Allegro in nasal green, or dogshit brown........SEXY! In the case of the ALL AGGRO, it is merely nostalgia that encourages some to keep them on the road, as opposed to it being worthy of true classic status.
video very well done but you missed the most important cars of the 1960s the mk3 ford zephyr these were used on the tv program z cars bench seats and striking rear fins 15ft .2 long a real 60s icon
I like all classic cars. I remember the Zephyr MK III very well and there are always a few of those at Tatton Park each year.
It wasn't really my favorite Zephyr/Zodiac incarnation though. I actually preferred it's predecessor - with that famous arched grille (especially the superb looking drop-heads!).
I also really admired the squarer (1969) follow-on. It looked a bit like an 80's Bentley! Superb interiors but poor handling. My Dad had a Ford dealership in those days!
Hallo I think you're wrong! One of the nicest BMC was Austin A40, a step forward in its period and Ado 16, in Italy built under license by Innocenti, were second to none in their own class. Alfa Romeo Giulia was clearly another class and Lancia Fulvia too. Maybe Peugeot 204, always Pininfarina, was a strong contender for Ado 16. About Camargue? You're wright! Greetings from Italy once again
I was surprised to learn that the Austin Cambridge (or Morris Oxford) was originally a Farina design - for Peugeot. I attended a car show last year and saw this strange Peugeot that looked like the Austin Cambridge!
The A40 looks like a small hatchback version of the Cambridge - I can see the Farina connection. And, yes, the A40 is a really nice car. My grandfather once owned one.
Very nice, congratulations. In this almost brits parade you also put unloved Allegros and common Ado 16: right, but you forget Landcrabs, Marinas and smokey BMC Farinas! Greetings from Italy
I love classic cars. Funnily enough I like the more humble cars (things like Cortinas, Escorts & Vivas) more than the prestige vehicles like Rolls Royce & Jaguar etc. All good though!
Let's get your pix on YouTube also! --- go on!! What was the weather like on Sunday - I was there all day Sat from 10am to 4.30 - my face was burned to a crisp, it was fantastic in terms of the show and the weather!
i went on saturday this year

Ha!
Farina designed some nice things. But Farina designed some pug ugly stuff too. Mainly for BMC.
The ugliest Farina of all? The Rolls-Royce Camargue.

Never been to the American Show. I like Tatton Park as a venue as well as the cars on display - perhaps I will give the American Show a go!
But - I guess you'd have to be interested in American vehicles to find that particular show amusing.
At least I find that the Classic Car Show offers some variety.

Where is this then?'

Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire.
One of the largest classic & performance car shows in Britain. It is an excellent 2 day event for theose who enjoy all things to do with cars.
A must!
