The original recipe called for equal parts cognac, cointreau and lemon juice. I prefer it this way but great video!

Too sweet for my tastes; I would leave out the extra sugar syrup.
One of the other Side-car recipes I am partial to is the sugar-frosted version, which requires the drink itself to be a little bit more sour.
If a cocktail is too sweet it masks most of the flavour; And for my money I want the best taste.
