i've listened to this dozens and dozens of times already, and yesterday was the first time i heard the original version. i actually like his voice. you can feel the emotion and when a song is this simple, it really makes you pay attention to the lyrics.

Great comment shiftymerchant, I feel like Daniel truely plays music, creates art, & lives life to the beat of his own creation, it's a gift i think allot of us have as children but somehow lose as we get older. Daniel is no child, just genuinely wonderfully himself. Witch we benefit from, and are refreshed by and areinspired by.
The bad production is my favorite thing about daniel. It's so real, it's not for anyone but himself really. I can see him everytime I listen to his music setting in his room playing and singing his heart out and filling the room with magic that no one would really see for years and years.

"normally reserved for the dead", makes me happy for some reason, but, he makes me totally sad in his later stages of life, I hope he feels content, it's so hard to tell, the audio preview is freaky and out of context on youtube
