  • 198 095 views for this ? What about art and culture ?

  • @savarzei

This is art and culture, its a fucking Browning Automatic Rifle, bitch! Now bend over and take it like a man.

BTW I never knew its ROF could be that high

  • Also compatable with a custom front grip made of wood, replaces the classic front handle. There will also be a compact model for close quarters and room entry. This is dubbed the Baby B.A.R. and comes in full auto and 2 round burst. This model has side rail mounts for a flashlight, or infared laser. Baby bar does not come with bi-pod. Instead is factory equipped with composite front grip and 5 round clip fed 12ga. master key (6in. barrel). I might design a grenade launcher attachment also.

  • @keefelakes47 you are wasting your time the mag 58 aka the 240B is an updated BAR. Just have to look and the internals. FN basically flipped over the BAR bolt assembly and added a belt feed. But its your time.. JUst my 02 cents worth

  • I am a soon to be gunsmith and I have a drawn design for an original B.A.R. with modern internals, and also I hope to make a belt fed model of the same original style. I am hoping that I can make a base model and present it to Springfield armory as a new concept. It will be semi auto, 2 or 3 round burst, and fully automatic. Yes that means the first 4 select fire rifle. Select also available on belt fed model to conserve ammo. Picatinny rails and scope compatable.

  • Always loved the classic BAR rifle: In this age of" black assault weapons" the Original Browning still stands out.. Wish Browning or Auto Ordinance would come back with the classic BAR, even if it were semi auto only, it would still be a very nice and formidable fire arm.

  • that belgium BAR is so fucking sexy

  • where was this at the European Front during WW1??!

  • @Ahamster1 In production.

  • @t3hPoundcake oh wait i looked it up it was already around during WW1 but the Americans were too afraid to let it fall into enemy hands, so they used the French version which kinda sucked (it really did no stereotyping here)

  • @Ahamster1 Saying France sucks isn't a Stereotype, it's a provable fact lol. And yea, they used the Chau-Chat or whatever it was called a lot.

  • @t3hPoundcake they're strong now.

  • @Ahamster1 Eh. Not really. They flew out of Lybia in almost the same time it took them to lose their whole country in WWII and WWI lol.

  • @t3hPoundcake well at least they're able to project some power

  • The BAR is a Bad Ass Rifle!

  • so you fired a browning automatic rifle rifle?

  • @xXCarrotyPatchXx No he fired a browning browning automatic rifle rifle. But dont be a smartass...

  • Wow. I never thought i would see an r80 based pistol grip version in action. Thanks for posting.

  • those are some light loads love to see a bar shoot some 220 gr max presure

  • I always found it silly that its called a BAR rifle, because that means its browning automatic rifle rifle. lol

  • @MysteryoftheGods It's like saying ATM machine.

  • @MrXDM9 i know...its a joke.

  • I tell you one thing, I've learned a lot about BAR's from the comments on this video. Never realized there was such a diversity in design and implementation of this platform!

  • @LawrenceTrent tell me if im wrong but doest the B in BAR stands for browning like browning automatic rifle and not browning BAR or does the B stands for somting else

  • @LawrenceTrent The whole lesson. The weapon is an FN-D made in Belguim. It is the last version of the BAR. As originally manufactured it came in 30.06, 8mm, 7mm and the Israelies had a 308 version. It has a pistol grip and a quick change barrel. The 30.06 version can change cals by changing lower and barrel and putting an insert to take up the length difference between 308 (FAL) 8mm and 30.06 mags or you can use 30.06 mags and just tap the round forward thus just change the barrel.

  • If I could take anything downrange with me I'd skip the M4 and go straight for a Colt Monitor - if I could get a RIS with that, that would be perfect : )

  • this is my dad and i was there with him at knob creek, his friend was videotaping i think.. Or it was my step-mother. I never thought he put those up on youtube, he has a great collection and goes shooting all the time. this is just awesome! im so much more proud than what i was! XD

  • How many people realise that the BAR isnt actually a machine gun, BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) - Exactly, its a rifle.

  • Ill trade you! My car for your BAR?

  • @psp1921tsmg - yes this is Polish variant , Browning wz. 1928 ....

  • 20 round Mags were carried by the troops, but there were some 40 round mags used at air fields in Europe for Air Defense.

Still not a lot of ammo for the type of weapon.

  • Not a lot of ammo? 30-06 is just about the most common ammo in the United States, not a lot of ammo my ass.

  • Not a lot of ammo for an automatic weapon compared to today's standards.

Any one who has been around firearms knows 30-06 is available in mass

  • That's a lot of recoil.

  • BAR rules!

  • Clyde as in Bonny an Clyde held a machinist / welder at gun point to put 3 clips together giving a total of 60 rounds

  • 30-06 is my favorite round so automatic would be awesome

  • the browning m1919 was 30-06 same as the BAR and the m1 garand.

  • @baconator490 Don't froget the 1903 Springfield.

  • @YoshiFan100 i wouldve said that if it had a big influence in ww2

  • @baconator490 But it had some in the trenches of WWI

  • @YoshiFan100 there is a difference between ww1 and ww2

  • @baconator490 I know but WW1 just seem to be tossed aside by WW2 and Veitnam

  • @YoshiFan100 thats because ww1 was basically archduke ferdinand was killed and the allied and enemy sides were determined then a couple hundred mile long trenches were formed and it stayed that way for a long time

  • Weird gun, I always thought it looked kinda lame in video games but it looks pure badass on all the firing range videos.

  • doesn't BAR stand for "Browning Automatic Rifle"?? so saying Browning BAR is redundant...

  • haha Browning BAR. that's stupid

  • ive nerver seen one with a pistol grip

  • this is the polish variant

  • It is not the polish variant. It is a FN type D the last variation of the BAR made in Belgium. I have two of them.

  • @psp1921tsmg I do know that is not the American version. The American BAR did not have the pistol grip.

  • @psp1921tsmg Lucky. How much do they do for these days? Do you have a general idea of how many were imported before 68?

  • imagine that with a drum :D

  • They should make a 100 round BAR mag. That would be sweet. Like the Beta mag for the ar15.

  • and heavy

  • Yeah well something with more capacity than 20 rnds.

  • with a hundred rounds, you wouldnt want to carry it around...

  • Something more than 20 rounds would be awesome even though I will probably never own a full auto BAR and I can't own anything with more than 10 rounds as it is.

  • why would they make something brand new for something that hasn't been in use since the '60s?

  • Well this video was uploaded in 07 so I'm just guessing that some people still use it.

  • um yeah. Collectors, and such. But why would they spend thousands to make something brand new for collectors?

  • Because not everyone can afford the 10s of thousands for a real one plus not all states allow full auto. Besides I was talking about making a mag that would hold more than 20 rounds.

  • there's a decent market for that kind of thing. a lot of people would rather have a new production gun, without a giggle switch, for 4-5k, than pay 20 grand for an F/A gun made 70 years ago that's been shot a shitton - plus that 20 grand can quite literally blow up in your face pretty damn easily.

  • Comment removed

  • The M1a1 is a folding stock variant of the M1 carbine. It is a .30 carbine chambered rifle that is fed by box magazines. There is no belt anywhere on that rifle.

  • Comment removed

  • I have never seen of or heard of 1919 belts being used in BARs.

  • @baconator490

BAR's cant use belts, its mag fed only, if you use the canvas belt, it'll jam up the system or fall out again, if you use the metal link belt, again, it'll fall out,

  • is a drum mag made for these?

  • @broc212 nope, only 20rd stick mags

  • Then I don't want one.

I will stick with the M1 Garand ^^

  • mmm no

  • What a mean looking gun.

  • the stg44 was less accurate than the bar was though

  • y are you comparing an assault rifle to a machine gun? XD

  • chamath1985 that is not tru some soldiers loved this weapon because it was a good defense weapon, a trench or house cleaner , and it had a bigger round which shoot father then the tommy gun,, now dont get me wrong i love the tommy gun and you do have a point about the gun being heavy and only 20 round mag

  • The BAR has nothing on the StG44

  • Depends on the range.

  • Using a full powered rifle round would give the BAR an advantage at long range. Apart from that i would give the thumbs up to the StG44.

  • It's notorius for Jamming and for the small cartridge

  • BAR...small cartridge? you obviously know nothing...30-06 is most definately no a small cartridge

  • Well to be honest, I haven't handled that weapon and I haven't heard of the modifications it went through. But during WW2 the cartridge only contained only 20 rounds. So it was quite a nightmare for a soldier to carry comparing it with Thompson. The only benefit it had was just more power but still heavy, weapon jams, small cartridge ; that's bad

  • sorry about the rude comment yesterday man...bad mood lol...but yeah ive heard similar horror stories of the BAR minus the small round...30-06 is enough to lay you flat out in one shot lol

handled a thompson the other day...thats a heavy son of a bitch, soldiers had it hard back then lol

  • no worries mate. Thompson is heavy but I like the style of it. But you've gotta be some rich bastard to fire the rounds hehe

  • oh definately, we've got a 1911 and its almost as expensive to shoot as our ar15 lol

  • Fair enough. 1911 is one fancy medium powered accurate hand gun. I love it.

  • THIS IS NOT BAR !!!

  • i believi its the swedish(?) version of the bar.

  • they kept complaining about the weight but it helps on recoil lol.

  • This weapon being fired is an FN/FAL,

Made by Fabreque Nationale in Belgium.

This weapon is based on the BAR,since

J.Browning designed weapons for them for years. A great rifle still used all over the world, especially in Africa.

  • Ah no...as an owner of a fnfal I can tell you that is a BAR.

  • Its a polish WZ 1928 variant of the BAR, you can tell by its pistol grip and inline stalk

  • its not an assault rife, its a light machine gun

  • its a automatic rifle

  • No, the BAR is select fire, making it an automatic rifle.

  • Browning was a fucking genius. PERIOD

  • He developed it in ONLY 3 Months!!!!

  • The worlds first assault rifle in three months.

  • Assault rifles are categorized by 3 things: Comparatively short barrel length, selective fire, and use of intermediate cartridges. any one of these three things can categorize an assault rifle, but the BAR does not have any of these

  • It was a piece of nightmare for a soldier. They always tended to avoid this weapon.

  • actually the worlds first assault rifle was the Sturmgewehr 44, or STG44. The BAR was an automatic rifle, more for squad support than anything else.

  • This is indeed the Polish or Belgian version of the BAR. Both countries adopted it after the US and in different calibers (Polish 7.92mm Mauser and Belgium in 7.65mm Mauser i believe).

  • Nice video, but i think this isn't a BAR. A BAR hasn't got a grip like that. You need to hold it like the Springfield, or Kar98k, not like the Mp40, or Thompson. Nice video tough.

  • Its a different varient, still a BAR though

  • Too fast even for a variant its a modern repo.

  • There were copies of the browning automatic rifle made in foreign countries, like belgium, poland, and sweden. Some people are not understanding this, and need to learn how to read. Thanks for your help in explaining it to these people, Kottonmouth.

  • that bar isnt 30_06....

    its 7.62x57mm....

that rifle is the polish WWII version Wz 1928.

  • I Meant 7.92x57mm

    9 not 6...

  • It is a 30_06.

  • MOST bars are 30_06

THAT particular BAR is a 7.92x57mm Mauser Version, made in poland during WWII.

the bar was designed in the US, but the sdesign spread and the bar was made in many countries, most countries had different bars; minor differences mostly in barrel length and caliber... only the polish version used the 7.92x57mm mauser round; and was developed with a pistol grip.

  • @KottonmouthSoldiers

wow, you really seem to know your guns ;)

  • Isn't it a shame that the weapons designed to defend democracy are now in the hands of idle wealthy and trailer trash idiots?

  • i guess you'd rather them be in a landfill somewhere or being sold to a foreign war

  • You know, i thought that a higher caliber shoulder fired machine gun like the .30-06 would "ride up" a lot more than that one did. The recoil looks to be very controllable. Just another testament to the gun design genious of John Moses Browning.

  • the rounds fumes move UNDER the barrel, most of the recoil is at the bottom of the gun, so the weapon doesnt climb.

  • this is a polish BAR in 8mm mauser, not an american one in 30-06

  • The BAR was made in the U.S.

  • does anybody know if there is a larger mag or drum mag available?

  • if you have two cut the top off one and bottom off another get a bigger spring and weld them together. that's what i did. i heard about a drum mag for it too.

  • how many rounds can you cram in your extended magazine?

  • their is no drumb magazine for a bar foo lol

  • i think there needs to be 1

  • true

  • or what about belt fed... if it'll cycle? ever seen anything like that for a bar?

  • nope, that would be cool thought belt fed B.A.R

  • say, you don't happen to know what the leather or whatever straps are for the belt are called? i came across the name yesterday... i think it starts w/ a l

  • British Air Rifle....Yaay!

  • where do u get one.... i wnat one, or at least i want to shoot one

  • nice ! 30-06, KILLZ !

  • It is indeed a licensed copy of a BAR. It was made Fabrique Nationale in Belgium. It was the standard light machine gun for the Belgian Army and saw combat in 1940 during the German invasion. I do believe it fires the 7.65 Belgian cartridge as it was the standard ammo for the Belgian Army (but I'm not completely sure)

  • It was also used by Polish Army in 1939 and I belive it saw more action than :P

  • getting dropped into the dirt is not the action a gun wants to have.^^

  • Thats the Belgian licensed copy of the BAR. You can tell by the straighter stock, the finned barrel, the foward grip, the bipod, sights, and the muzzle compensator. It's not a machinegun, its an automatic rifle. Machineguns are belt fed (unless you're a Democrat, where a full auto 10/22 is considered a machinegun). Just to let ya know! :D

  • I was just going to say that. This isn't a B.A.R. it is a copy, I think it uses the same magazine though.

  • Yeah it uses the same mag as well. Should've included that in my previous comment. Oh yeah, and this is BAR has its full auto setting selected to the faster hissing sound rather than the slower chugging sound people are used to.

  • this is a machinegun as far as the govt is concerned. the atf defines a "machine gun" as something that fires more than one shot with a single trigger pull. e.g., sxs' with the barrels linked to a single trigger are considered machineguns (or so i have heard)

  • You heard right. But thats a load of crap. This is an automatic rifle. A real machine gun is a weapon that is belt fed and fully automatic/selective fire. You have to understand that dumbasses made that bill and passed it. The Democrats are just like that (mostly, there are still SOME patriots left in that party): stupid!

  • yeah...i wish the NRA had the balls to go after the hughes amendment :\

  • sorry "p.o.r.t.u.g.e.s.e" assembled brownings

  • how can you not love these???? i have ownwed several browning auto's including shotguns and a pair of .338 win mag's.. cant say enough great things about belgium made along with the putugese brownings.. never bought a jap browning .. sure they are good though

  • thats the belgian one with the psitol grip

  • Cool gun!

  • I think its the belgian version with the

    removable barrel and cooling ribs.

  • yes your right its also in German 7.92mm so its got some stopping power Ishot one before that son of a bitch humms

  • Yes this is a Swedish KG M/37 BAR, It is a BAR, but it's not the typical American BAR. Pistol grip made it all too clear.

  • The pistol grip was also used on the wz1928 and the FN1930 variants made by Belgium, I guess it could be either. Its still the Browning Automatic Rifle, designed by John Browning was what I intended to say. You said "this is a Swedish BAR" as if that made it some different weapon altogether! The addition of a pistol grip ( good idea tho it was) and rechambering hardly makes it "somebody elses" gun.

Kinda like the M1898 Springfield and the Mauser? 30-06 changed it, but it was still a mauser

  • That is not a Swedish Kg m/37. It is a FND BAR (rear site gives it away as well as the barrel)and it looks to be 30.06 by the magazine so most likely it is a Luxembourg contract gun.

  • um bud, this is a swedish BAR not an american one.

  • are you just guessing? they are in america, and there is no reference to the nation of manufacture in the credits??

  • I'm not guessing, I know. It hardly resembles an American design. I might be wrong but, I know that doesn't look like an American one. It must be Swedish or Finnish. I will go research reel quick.

  • ah you gotta love the BAR.

  • what's the point with a 5 second clip?

  • hah honstly... check out my BAR video if u want a decent one

  • now that's more like it!

  • aswome, i was there in spring 07 and shot a BAR and teh m16

  • i want one of those so bad

  • Yup! This video is from Fall 06 shoot, others I posted are from Fall 07. (M249 SAW, PK, 1919, M60)

Was planning on shooting a minigun this year but got pressed for time and cash was getting short by Sunday.. I picked up 12,000 50 BMG rounds this year and trailored them back to Illinois.

  • Knob Creek?? Looks like it.

  • PS)) Illinois is a very unfriendly state for machineguns, so I have to go out of state to enjoy this particular hobby. Until I move I won't be able to own them myself (the move will probably be when I retire, or they ban semi-auto rifles here, whichever comes first).

  • It was a rental gun at Knob Creek machine gun shoot. I was just out having a fun weekend! So I don't know much about the particular weapon other than A) it's hard to control, and B) it was a hell of a lot of fun to shoot, C) I always wanted to shoot a BAR and was able to!

  • Trent! Who's FN-D is that? Cyclic is out of this world even with it being on 'high'!
