Google Wave's data model is a prime example of a Blackboard Architecture. You have the wave state (the blackboard) and the agents (humans, robots, etc.). The model itself is very tuned to concurrent modification by agents, especially with things like the standoff annotation model. I've been pondering how to do something like this for years, but in the context of a rich natural language processing application and data model.
