Almost an interpretation? It's DEFINITELY an intepretation - NOT a bass cover. I've been studying videos of Nikki Monninger playing it, and you play a lot more notes than she does. It's more like you are doubling the guitar parts, more or less.

Excessively complicated; the beauty of the song is in harmonic simplicity.

Fancy footwork is nice to watch, but I'd rather see it from a guitarist or from a real bass solo. Interpretation IS in the eye of the beholder, so as long as you are enjoying it (which you clearly are) then hell of a job, man.

You're very practiced and talented, so nice work.

Lol. No mate, at 2:45 I did it on purpose.

In my opinion, I didn't put "too"much creativity on it; I mean, I kept mainly the bass line and only change some "end-fills". But I can understand your point of view, as when some people told me that my covers aren't "real" cover but more "interpretation".

I cant do better, but your left hand fingers move too much, imo. Looks like you apply too much pressure with your thumb, which may cause wrist problems in the future.

Does your hand feel tired / painful after a while? If it feels good, there is no real need to change, but you should keep an eye on pain/strain. Most important is that your fingers are relaxed. This can be supported by working on finger independence "training" or by finger strengtheners (you can get them from sports shops).

At time, I never really feel painful, even after playin a while. But it really depend on the songs I play (rythm & hand moves needed to play).

I think/heard they are. Not only for bass playing. But I also heard that from some experienced players.
