Yes, I always played with sheets from the start when I used to go to piano class, so it has become a habit.

I wish I could play by ear completely, but I won't get the harmonization correct even if I get the melody.

Does that keyboard have weighted keys? To me it looks like it doesn't... If not, you should think about looking at getting one some time in the future. Not that this isn't really good, but with weighted keys it's a lot EASIER to get the feeling right. I always struggle without a good weighted keyboard... Actually, I don't really play a keyboard if it's not weighted... Do you know what that means? (I guess I should have asked this before)

Yes, I know what you mean by weighted keyboard, simply put, it would mean that the keys not only "sound" like a piano, but also "feel" like a piano, and the volume varies with the velocity you press the keys.

This one has hammer weighted keys but ofcourse you cant beat a real piano ! :)
