The performance was just not appropriate for this show and with the younger audience but truely the kiddies should have been in bed. On a week night parents come on. The whole show was a bit out there for little ones. Parents need to take some responsibility for what they expose their children to and when.

first of all, to defend is to make or keep safe from danger, attack, or harm. Second of all, we all have our own opinions, but that doesnt mean we have to argue. Third, Adam Lambert may not have won, but he came in second against all odds. He was chosen from thousands of people, and made it to Hollywood, and took his loss with grace and decorum. I don't think he "blew it" at the AMAs. I consider myself a "main stream music buyer, admittedly rather conservative in my tastes, but I like good music. I don't have a TV. I had never heard of Adam Lambert until all this so called backlash. Curious, I started searching him online looking at old American Idol footage (how did he lose?) What an amazing talent. I bought the CD. Had he not gotten all that publicity, I would have continued not knowing who he was. Not for everyone, but brilliant.
Like I said I will still listen /buy his music in a way he outed the main stream music buyers and if the sales continue to slid and his album keeps on dropping I would say that's a pretty good backlash. Don't get me wrong I can only hope for great things for Adam but he's in control of his own destiny maybe all he cares about is only being for a select few, he's achieving what he wants no matter how the ball bounces. Adam's first try on his own was a bit over the top, but I am still here for him. He ain't even as bad as Eminem. He got people talking. He is more than a one trick pony. Adam's career is doing very well actually. According to billboard he will sell over 225,000 albums this week alone. He has fans covering every demographic and many countries. The performance was just not appropriate for this show and with the younger audience but truely the kiddies should have been in bed. On a week night parents come on. The whole show was a bit out there for little ones. Parents need to take some responsibility for what they expose their children to and when.

I agree with Letterman, The Early show and Ellen...he kind of said he was sorry on Ellen saying it's probably like a 1st date something you don't want to see on a 1st or 2nd date. I don't think he "blew it" at the AMAs. I consider myself a "main stream music buyer, admittedly rather conservative in my tastes, but I like good music. I don't have a TV. I had never heard of Adam Lambert until all this so called backlash. Curious, I started searching him online looking at old American Idol footage (how did he lose?) What an amazing talent. I bought the CD. Had he not gotten all that publicity, I would have continued not knowing who he was. Not for everyone, but brilliant.

Adam's first try on his own was a bit over the top, but I am still here for him. He ain't even as bad as Eminem. He got people talking. He is more than a one trick pony. Listen to the different songs on the cd. That performance was just one in a million of different sides of Adam Lambert. I would prefer to look at Adam than Janet's boob anytime.

it was written by lady gaga. so i guess in a way it was written for a female to sing. i got that same feeling when i first heard it. i didn't like it at first, but it grew on me, now i love it. i think the song wouldn't have the same energy if she sang it though.
