  • excellent effort mate this my new addon to a medium rare porterhouse or scotch fillet lol 10/10

  • I'm gonna try this....but, add CAPERS and GARLIC more towards the end...and maybe a little less cream....and parsley only at the very end....but still, it looks great....

  • That looks amazing.

  • @Copperfoilhat Thank you :)

  • 'nothing worse than a big chunk of garlic in your food'?

I don't know about that, but this sure looks good. I have a bottle of red wine open, so i'll try it with that. And add some green pepper corns.

  • @giliam74 Thank you...red wine and pepper corns would be nice.

  • What is that thing you added before you added the mushroom? I thought it was garlic, until you said "add garlic" later on..

  • Absolutely good! With red wine.

  • @sssskkkkish Yep..red wine works too :)

  • @sssskkkkish Oh goodie.. I just bought red wine, and dont wanna waste money buying white wine again..

  • I love it ... Thanks

  • End result looks awesome.

  • Sounds interesting I will had a twist the Urban Peasant style with a dash of some alcohol ... Brandy maybe or what ever I have in my hand at the time... lol... Probably a Guinness dash in the sauce...

  • @Padraigcoelfir Ha ha.wow Guinness..your on your own with that one..lol but I would be curious to see what it would taste like. happy new year

    Steve:)

  • @stevescooking LOL yeah taste Irish!!

  • great tip with the garlic!!! My mom gave me one of these annoying little extra tools to cut up garlic, but I hate cleaning it. So usually just finally chop it, but now I know how to get that mashed up flavorful mass :) thanks!

  • excellent been trying to perfect this for so long, this should seal the deal

  • @niallmw1 hope it turns out great for you..cheers :)

  • @stevescooking tasted good but didnt have button mushroooms so sauce was quite dark. didnt have parsly or lemon but should do the job next time round. cheers

  • dirty finger at 5:17...hahahaha.....tasty!

  • @clemdarr ha ha :)

  • Looks so easy and good.

What's a substitute for white wine?

    Thanks

  • @joojiandmemo no substitute..if you try to use vinegar then you will not be able to get the real taste of that....white wine is the secret ingredient..:)

  • @clemdarr I'm sure it is the secret ingredient : ), but some people don't use alcohol at all for allergy reasons or religious reasons.

    Thanks anyways

  • Im a student and i live alone and this is great for me when i want to eat something tasty!!!

  • @magicmoronic Defiantly....cheap and tasty

    Cheers

  • I made the mushrooms and it was wonderful. My kids and husband are all mushroom lovers so this was a big hit for dinner. The mushrooms had a lot of flavor with onions, garlic and lemon. Yummy!

It was a little bit challenging for me to make since I doubled the recipe. I need to prepare all my ingredients like you do in the video so when I start cooking I am all ready to go. Next time I will be more organized and it will be easier.

Thanks for the great recipe. :)

  • @TheJuicerDepot Wonderful..glad it turned out great for you and your family..thanks so much for making it and watching :)

    Steve

  • Hello Steve, I could not find vegetable stock at the store so I bought vegetable broth instead. Is there a difference between stock and broth?

  • @TheJuicerDepot Hi thank you.....the difference between stock & broth is...Stock is cooked with bones and broth is cooked with simmering meat....But vegetable stock or broth are the same thing really..so your fine :)

    Thanks for watching

  • great recipe but id skip the cow chewing smacking at the end. Sounds bad, doesnt fit. But very good recipe to add to my collection

  • @shunoforme Thanks pal..but don't worry about it. :)

  • That is the f***ing dogs man! Fantastic.

  • @kunjaljoe Your very welcome

  • Hello Steve, the mushroom Recipe is awesome , seems very tempting on screen ! May u let me know, how to make vegetable stock ?

  • @MrADUKIA Thank you...If you take a look at my video (how to make chicken stock) Do the same method but without the chicken. You can add..mushrooms. tomatoes, bell peppers...also cook it for less, about 1 1/2 hours.

    I hope this helps...thanks for watching :)

    Steve

  • @yblanque Your very welcome :)

  • This is what I've cooked yesterday first time- really good! Love the video- well done!

  • @GitteKabai Glad it turned out good.. Thank you :)

  • Hi Steve, love the recipy, will try it-------NOW!!!

BTW, if you don't have any heavy cream, can you use a bit of milk and cornflour instead? any other idea for substitute?

    Thanks mate

  • @m1as3900

Glad you like the recipe! You can certainly use a milk based slurry as a substitute, but as I have never tried that myself, I am not sure what the ratio would be precisely. I would suggest you make a weak slurry and add it bit by bit until your sauce has the consistency you like. Do keep in mind that as it stands the cornstarch will become a little thicker. Good luck and let me know the results! cheers :)

  • Cheers Steve, a really good video, that should help me on my xmas dinner :)

  • @gazhodd74 Your welcome buddy :)
