No offense Alum '74 (I'm an alum '96), but you sound old. 1974 Pday and modern Pdays are like comparing apples to oranges. LEGAL drinking age is not 18 anymore. It' s not even worth comparing. As someone who works with college students daily (not at SMC, unfortunately). Rest assured, students are still creating lasting, special memories for themselves, enough to keep my stress levels elevated..... But, alums always like to think it was better "back in the day."
