I will say that (remembering back when I was little), during severe weather break-ins, Mike would skip the hair and make-up, and you could tell it, too. No necktie, top button of his shirt unbuttoned, look as if he hadn't slept. It's hilarious to think of it, now. :)
Ugh, I had all of that on video, Noxtek. I had KTVT's last independent newscast, along with an awesome retrospective paving the way to the switch to CBS, and their first CBS 10pm newscast. I also had KDFW's last CBS 10pm news. My brother (who was young and a little shit at the time) taped over all of it with an epsiodes of 'Sister Sister'.
Needless to say, I cringe to this day when I think about that.
I want to see video of "the switch" - the moment when CBS moved to 11 and Fox moved to 4. I remember watching KDFW the night of the switch pretty clearly, IIRC they 're-launched' with their 5 or 6PM newscast with an entirely new graphics package and music using the slogan "Fox 4 Texas". I think to this day it was one of the better packages used in D/FW television.
You sure? When I first saw News 4 Texas (as it was called); Janice Glynn was one of the co-anchors during the 5 PM newscast (I forgot who her partner was). Clarice and John co-anchored the 6 and 10 PM newscasts.
And Kimberley Kennedy's co-anchor during the Noon newscast was Walter Evans.
Is Kennedy all at noon and at six o' clock broadcast?

KDFW was better as the Dallas CBS affiliate. KTVT just doesn't cut it. KDFW has remained successful as a FOX affiliate though.

KDFW is now a Fox owned-and-operated station

Is there any chance you have a video of KTVT's newscast from 1990-1995?
It has the KTVT 1990 News theme - a more symphonic sound that is as big as Texas.
It features Midge Hill (formerly of WFAA ABC-8) and one of the most iconic news persons Mike Hambrick.

Unfortunately, I have nothing from KTVT.

Kimberly Kennedy started in Atlanta on WSB; I always wondered where she went to before she came back to town and worked at WXIA.

Now KDFW is simply "Fox 4".

Wait, I thought Clarice Tinsley co-anchored with John Criswell during his years at KDFW (for both the 6 PM and 10 PM newscasts).

Clarice was on at 5 and 10 and Kimberley was on at Noon and 6
Criswell was 5, 6, 10

If my memory is right, I think it was Dale Schornack (Now at KXTV).
