The Saucony Outlaw (not shown) is the only TRUE trail running shoe, currently. These others, made by all brands, are just soft, flat ground, cross country trainers. You need a 3/4 mid top for ankle support on trails. Also, having a solid, slippery plastic torsion area in the center of the sole, like on the ones shown at 0:25 , is dangerous when you tread on a tree root, etc.
