  • If Maynard James Keenan covers a song of yours, you've made it in my book.

  • @chickenfriedsundays You've said it.

  • Here's a Slipknot fan saying you can't compare them where you think one is, " shit " or not.

  • Failure isn't grunge, but I can see why people would mistake them as grunge, because their sound fits the genre incredibly well. I've always seen them labelled as Alternative metal/post-grunge/Space rock.

Their first album "Comfort" was heavily influenced by grunge.

^ That's a real statement from the band.

  • @onestep2farclown

neo grungegaze spiritual spacecadet psycadellic metallic with a slight taste of rust and chicken. God i love failure.

  • what year is this from?

  • @ManicMuppets 1996

  • WTF!?!?!?! Who the fuck thinks this was part of the "grunge"

movement!?!?!?! TOTALLY different scene........i grew up near Seattle so

    that's what's up...........!

  • @jsuka555 so Silverchair isn't from the grunge era because they're from Australia? Most Seattle bands aren't from Seattle either it just had a good scene. I met Kurt Cobain in Seattle in 1988 in the water garden he even said he only comes to Seattle for concerts. But failure is a part of the alternative era and btw Comfort was grunge as much grunge as mudvomit.

  • @TheHelixSpirit you misunderstood....i was vague, my fault. Yeah, Silverchair i would consider grunge based on the style they played which at that point was your prototypical grunge sound...however in my opinion i don't think Failure was a part of that. Not to say that every "grunge" band sounded the same but after the initial bands became popular you could sniff out the coattail riders = Siverchair. mudvomit?? you talking shit about Mudhoney??

  • i love the grunge sound-----this band needs to get back together

  • this music is incredible, although the whole album is filled with heroin innuendoes... the most subtile is heliotropic rose... just picture it in a syringe...

  • Why we talk about sliipknot???. Music for fat teenagers without a rock culture and friends. This is post shoegazer rock and sounds very well.

I like Slayer and i like Failure. I dont like Slipknot.

  • Best song on the album! ty

  • Amazing song about an equally amazing movie.

  • @TheTetrarch If you are talking about the Russian movie, yes...yes, it is truly amazing

  • @Blenderhead71 Of course the Russian. I'd never choose the Hollywood remake over an original!

  • Those harmonics are more ripped off by Puddle of Mudd's "Blurry". It's almost the exact same arrangement. Can't sue for using harmonics but you can sue for using them in the exact same order as someone else.

  • @TheeFinchLynch blurry came out in 2001, fantastic planet came out in 1996. do some research before you make an idiot out of yourself next time.

  • @fuzzyshan

you dont even HAVE to do any research, it's common sense that failure came before puddle of cumm and dicknot xD

  • @danzig5 internet morons dont have common sense :D. i dont have to listen to the youtube recordings anymore anyways, i just got my fantastic planet vinyl reissue the other day. XD

  • "I've been freezing my time, I've been slowing my breath..." This song is sooooo awesome!

  • I was gonna say this 'cause I just figured it out.... though it seems others have heard the connection as well.

Slipknot HAD TO of ripped this song off... Not only is the harmonic parts the same, so is the part right after.

    Slipknot - Vermilion

  • failure is the best legal drug there is. no matter what mood your in,. failure will compliment it. my fav song is probably small crimes. so creative. KA fan forever

  • so fucking good.

  • I will never solve,

    Algebra of need,

^one of the best lyrics, ever.

  • so true

  • My favorite band!!! tnx for this one

  • kill me

  • Easily one of the most beautiful songs ever...

  • I'm on a mission...

  • Well actually they're just regular old harmonics. And I don't know, I don't listen to slipknot much anymore. Not since i was like 13.

  • slipknot is trash compared to meaningful psychedelic music such as failure. !,,!

  • Eh, it is all good in its own way. Gotta say though, Failure speaks a lot more to my soul, but Slipknot is great when I need it.

  • @polak66678 slipnot's trash anyway: double-bass drum, play the guitar as fast as you can, scream into the mic, i know theres slightly more to it, but not much.

  • @polak66678 slipknot is trash even without comparing it to anything

  • @polak66678 lol who brought up slipknot? not even close to

    similar

  • Okay, you were 13 in 1995, 15 years ago & Slipknot's self-titled debut album hadn't even came out yet until 1999. That means you probably never listened to Slipknot at all.

  • "Are you haunting me again"

  • Just bought this cd this week. Fucking love this cd thanks for posting this vids I wouldn't have bought it otherwise.

  • So much for the copyright-infringement-harms-cd-sales crap. heh :)

  • This song is bad ass.

  • Easiest to like band ever.
