So far only played ManHunt 2, but Vagrant Story has been titled as one of the best JRPG'S so I expect alot of it!

I remember always resetting the game when until I get str+4 or hp+4 when using a special item just to max out my skills, this game is awesome... The coolest thing about it is you can play with it over and over even after u finished the game.

Doing so is actually easy for me.

This is how I kill most bosses.

In a many hits combos right after each other.

I can't breach their resistance, So I start making combos and go from 1 damage upwards. One hit from the boss and I'm dead, that's why I rely on combos.

The games is unique, veeeery deep combat system, it's not easy and rather for adult players. This is kind of game that You either love or hate :). One of the latest pure diamonds on old good PSX (same "caliber" as f.e. Shadow Of The Colossus or Ico on PS2:).

Magic, Tech's, Affinities.

It's only hard because instead of being slightly weaker to one type, they ignore damage from anything but. It's just a shitty Star Ocean that relies to much on Item Creation.

it's not very skilled because it's not very diffculty to hit the chain .. because it always make the exactly move then before.

Depends on what chaining ability you select. Even then, this tempo is hard especially once you hit into the 20s. Your nerves basically fail once you get close to 30 and that's where most of us mess up. If Ashley's doing Gain Life or Gain Magic, his animation and timing will change.

Easiest is the crossbow.

I like using a hand axe phantom pain and raging ache as my combo.. its nice and consistant. Just chop right... chop left... nice and even. Still hard to get into the 20-25 range sometimes... lol

Swords are pretty difficult to chain with, yeah. The hardest weapojns to chain with are Swords, Daggers, and Staves, to me. I can get up to about 20 something with a sword (Very, very rarely) and can barely go past 10 with the other two. The bigger weapons are alot easier to chain with, yeah.

I am playing this game right now, i still own this official game on cd that was sold on the shelfs since the day it was released, its the best rpg action style yet since chrono cross. i am gunna replay this classic ^^, i wonder how much this game is worth since its hard to find. New games these days all are not worth the time to play except for COD5 and most new games are remakes, especially DS games. I love vagrant story, worth playing over any PSP or NDS game.

The first time I played this game, I got through it, decently, anyway. Some bosses were a trick, and I'd need one specific break art from a weapon that I don't use on that class of monster. Basically.... luck. Heh

My master file of like 7 run-throughs got erased. I've tried playing the game again, and always get stuck somewhere before training dummies appear and pretty much I'm screwed.

I so want to get the Holy Win again. It's my favorite videogame sword!

I don't know how you could get through the game WITHOUT being able to do this. Even with going through the trouble of customizing your entire arsenal and only using the one weapon for every type that is its specialty, I still had to fucking endlessly whack shit to ever do enough damage eventually. If I couldn't atleast get a few dozen hits every swing, I'd burn through all my items in a single boss fight. I remember this game being kind of hard

This is by far my favorite psx game. The best I got was a 76 chain with the final boss, using the crossbow. Wow, my first time playing the game I got a 19 with my staff within an hour of getting it. I like to use faster paced weapons, because when I use a slower weapon, I just feel so out of tune and don't hit as well. I'm used to a fast pace, no matter what game I play.

Each dummy has a small chance to drop an elixir of queens/kings/dragoons/sages/id­iots. They're easy to kill if you lower your HP with break arts and then just chain up a ton of Raging Aches (Deals X% of missing HP...)
