  • Bugatti's next engine anyone?

  • put this on a prius xD

  • Look how hot tje fuckn headers are

  • 1:58, DANGER TO THE MANIFOLD

  • That beast will melt your hood.

  • Great Engine :) Very Great. I post a videoanswer but this bmw only uses a NA Tuned Engine.

  • beynim zikildi mk

  • i like watchin the maifold getting cherry red. but sparkplug motors dont trill me, thy gotta be diesel

  • @cookie2359 I feel ya dude... I feel ya. Diesel rotary any one?

  • now i know why aliens continue to revisit earth....they use 4 rotors to power their spacecraft.

  • I'd put that thang in a Mini.

  • holy!

  • @7fstuned unfortunately theres nothing holy about this engine, more on Satanic side. LOL

  • OH MAH GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!

  • oh mein gott.......wow

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmnn

  • the awkward moment when the engine melts your legs off.

  • @adamski895RS why would it melt your legs off? its not for a quad(atv), it's a quad(4) rotor engine

  • @aglxosiris Oh right, for the M3, stupid me.

  • Now you just need to find somebody with some bigs nuts to ride that monster

  • the rpm restrection is in the transmission had a 88 that would only go to 8k rpm

  • Is there an RPM restriction? besides the material resistance, my question is because of the no need of valves or a camshaft??

  • @ThePwnSho Simply the strength of the rotors and eccentric shaft. The inertia of the rotors is what causes problems. I have heard of 13b's missing shifts with the throttle flat (or sticking) and going to 16500rpm, Some of them being fine. Apparently the 10a rotary will take a lot of revs. Probably due to smaller rotor size and mass.

  • i wonder how many gallons per mile it gets at WOT. hahaha

  • That rpm didnt sound sane..

  • holy hot headers

  • sounds like a vaccum cleaner...

  • I think you have an exhaust leak. lol. That thing is fucking amazing.

  • put that turbo on an LS engine and spend the same amount of money on it has did this freak rotary here, and it will make way more power and have better street manners.

  • How reliable is this thing? That fire makes me like a V8 more.

  • My 13B's downpipe would glow like that. Friends used to think it was so cool. Actually part of the problem was my cat-converter broke apart, probably from the heat, and was restricting flow. Nothing like owning a rotory!!

  • can anyone tell me what the "quad rotor" means? not to sound stupid, just curious

  • @T1P1N It's a rotary engine, not a reciprocal, meaning it has rotors instead of pistons. Search for a video about how a wankel engine works.

  • @Pip2andahalf I thought mazda was the only one that made rotary engines? I didn't know BMW made them

  • @T1P1N It's obvious that a Mazda engine is dropped into BMW chassis.

  • @SorsanSuuriAfro what...? Are you saying this engine is put into an m3? or that all bmw motors are mazda made?

  • @T1P1N I'm saying, that in this particular car, an engine made by Mazda (26B), is installed into chassis made by Bmw.

  • @SorsanSuuriAfro all I wanted to know...

  • @T1P1N Instead of pistons, con rods, and a crank, rotaries have triangular rotors on a splined shaft. Normally a rotary engine has two rotors, this one has four. It is comparable to going from a V8 to a V16. Twice the displacement, because they are using production parts.

  • You could roast hotdogs and marshmellows on that exhaust manifold

  • I wonder if thats on 93 octane

  • seems like you need some fibergalss wraps around the exaust. but was fun to see that shit golw like a bastard.

  • gezzus sounds like a plane thats going to take off at around the 2 min mark!

  • HOW MANY PSI?

  • Just when you think its wound up... Hehehehehe

    Man that thing is wickid!

  • light the bowl on that shit

  • @NeeKroVal

HAHAHHAA! Pick it, Pack it, Fire it up!!

  • get the fire extinguisher cuz that's hot :P

  • nice time machine.

  • @theantinignog You mean time bomb..

  • @Dmac11a666 Exactly! I was waiting for it to blow on the stand. 3 or 4 more pulls and that thing would be "toast".

  • @lt1bird348 Its exhaust gasket couldn't even live with all the heat this motor creates...This motor would be fine in a street car cause it would make no boost below 6000rpm, perfect for driving normal..lol Even when it does create boost instant surge of power losing control if not going in a straight line..:P

  • @Dmac11a666 Thats what nice about a v-8. Less revs, more power and would last longer.

  • @lt1bird348 And would need less then half the boost this motor needed to put out that power..

  • @Dmac11a666 Wow! Normally people usually just bash the comments I make on videos with anything import. Good to see that there are still some people who know a thing or two. If you want see videos of v-8s search for "nre tv" on youtube. These guys build some decent stuff!

  • @lt1bird348 I do appreciate some imports like supra's and the other straight six turbo's, but nothin is better then a boosted v8 or big block chevy...:P

  • BBQ ANYBODY

  • someone go touch the manifold.

  • did the thing blow the headers off on that run? O_o

  • Why the word "queen"? Racing isn´t ofcourse queenish as it is something very bad. right???? :O Or ould it be after the band called queens?

  • If only we could get some quad rotor engines into mass production.

  • Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggg..........

  • funny to think that basically the whole engine is coated in gold now. look up queen street m3 and youll see what i mean.

  • My god the turbo lag. Supercharger or nothing, pl0x!

  • @45JDM the zohan !!! ^^

  • That's ona burn the hell ota d driver

  • exhaust manifold self destruct in 3....2....1... oh nevermind

  • 2:00 = ?

? = OH MY FUCKING GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!

  • that exhaust manifold isnt gonna last

  • also known as a jet engine....

  • Please watch:

Rotary Engine & Boxer Engine Combination - A WORLD'S FIRST

  • thats on the dyno you gotta consider weight of the car their gonna put it in and weight of the actual engine but its a beastly engine ls7 never disapoints

  • its like a jet engine

  • dude...i so want 1 XD

  • Holy crap its on fire! Might be a problem when in an engine bay. Yeah these things weigh bugger all, and they are very small. They use rotaries in compact hovercraft for that reason - power to weight ratio, small size. 1664hp is awesome - what capacity v8 do you need to make those numbers? Anyway its all meaningless - we'll all have electric cars with basketball size motors pumping out 2000Nm torque in a few years.

  • But does it fly?

  • Now, I'll pay you $100 for hugging that exhaust manifold xD

  • Kur*a taką moc to ja mam w swoim fjacie

  • are you mentally retarded, rotors weight a lot.... of course they weigh a lot for their size as their tiny and compact... no way in hell do they way the same as 5.7v8

  • Beastly engine!!

  • that's my lawn mower engine

  • Now you need to find a RX792P to put that BAD BOY in !

  • Being a drag queen is all well and good but please put that engine in a proper chassis and find some corners. :-)

  • @Kranziee hahaahahahahah

  • @ginzaracing How come still no video? Even the link on Pulse Performance website is pooz. Was the motor a lemon? And have a look at the keys on the left side of your key board, there's one labeled "caps lock" - try it, it works great.

  • now try to stuff it into a civic for epic-wins!

  • That metal screen is to prevent clients and/or employees from getting sucked into the huge turbocharger

  • if they reclocked the turbo and got rid of those unneeded pipe bends id bet money itd do 1700hp. at that kind of airflow even the slightest restriction is a choke point.

  • lol, umm, is it supposed to be shooting out flames? haha

  • to much work to maintain rotors, buy a v8 with less the cash and you make more horses more torque and with more reliability.

up & down not round & round.

  • @koringn Yeah, all four major moving parts in that engine must be SO MUCH WORK!

  • @saschug it is when your rebuilding it every 3 months after shitty appex seals go.

  • @koringn I've been wondering about this apex seal problem. How beefed up are these things? How much beefier could they be? Is there no way to (brute-force)engineer a way around this problem? Or is their relative delicacy a requirement due to the nature of their operation? If you, or anyone, could shed more light on this, I would be very interested...

  • @saschug mate there is ongoing research into this problem but no results or capable materials have been properly developed yet.

for the time being its just a matter of replacing them when they go.

  • about 600hp per liter

  • poor turbo manifold

  • Bogans and Wogs love rotarys, at least thats one thing they can agree on! It will be the one thing that stops the 2nd Crusade (aka Cronulla 2)!

  • Fuck look at that exhaust manifold glow!!

  • @TheMadkent It's not an exhaust manifold; a manifold collects all exhaust gases into one tube. It would be an exhaust header, even though it sounds funny in singular form.

  • @TheMadkent Fuck look at it catch on fire!!!

  • @TheMadkent fuck that, look at that thing catchin fire lol

  • WOW! motor is bad ass!!! and to know its for a BMW e46 M3, even sweeter....

  • WOW! motor is bad ass!!! and to know its for a BMW e46 M3, even sweeter....

  • hey...was jus wondering if i can have tht? hehe

  • maximum ! 2:00

  • a real Beast!!! =)

  • what is what they are testing at the end? The 2 step?

  • yea i got one of these in my firebird?

  • That Turbo is insane.

    TheTwistedUnderground

  • lol the import v8 can just look at tht nissan they have dont rember the name but if it looks like a saleen then thts it and its bad ass but i love the new gtr so fucking fast it ever gets fixed up rite nothing would be able to beat it well not a market car its already faster thn a cayman

  • For the guy who said V8 can rev too 11k yes they can. But not your usual run of the mill mustang etc etc. they are long stroke lazy motors that have alot of torque and horsepower down low in the rev range. for a v8 too exceed about 6k rev it is usually a perpose built shorter stroke engine capable of high sustained revs. and for your info F1s have v10 3 litre engine i.e. short stroke high revving engine NOT long stroke v8s

  • @asambi69 actually they have short stroke high reving V8's, and are 2.4 litres. make sure you do your homework first bro.

  • @asambi69 F1 engines are ALL 2.4 litre V8's and have been since the rule change in 2006, very short stroke though, under 40mm I think?

  • the sucker purrs after such massive pull...

"almost looks" like an machine with high efficiency

  • nothin get my weaner goin than a rotary engin how bout you?

  • R26B ??

  • fuckin badd ass

  • @goofball420. Dude there is no reason for you to be a dick

  • fucken sick

  • I want to see one personally hit 20k or higher

Just think that rotary engine I think is only 2.4 liters if so hp weight ratio is out of this frikin world can someone confirm the size of this engine?

  • @StumpDrummer rotors way alot fyi. just as an comparison a 1.3 wankle weighs roughly the same as an 5.7 ls1 v8

  • @laronda10 a 1.3 Naturally Aspirated (13b rotary) weighs approximately 85kg, whilst the current LS1 weighs over 200kg

  • @Grid100 you are probably getting your facts mixed up between engine, and full out assembly mixed up, and aluminum ls1 block wieghs 117 lbs which is just about 50kg, so with its engine assembled its not gona be much more then then 80-85kg, and the tranny has to heavier due to more power and torque.

  • @laronda10 I ran a fully dressed N/A Rotory 13b in a Rally Car in the UK, and that weighed 85kg 'all in' bare in mind you only need a Carb and a distributor to run one, they're very popular in small aircraft as well, due to the extremely light weight and reliability from a lack of reciprocating parts

So Apples for Apples, a fully dressed LS1 is a lot heavier than a fully dressed N/A 13b.The Mazda LeMans R26b 4 rotor only weighs 180kg fully dressed. And thats basically 2 13b's on a common crank.

  • @Grid100 again bro im talking about an aluminum block they're known to be a lighter aplication for power to pound, and ls1's weigh around 150kg. an N/A isnt going to be able to match it in power to weight. and especially power band.

  • @laronda10 @laronda10 wait a minute?.. I never mentioned power to weight?.. you simply said and I quote you " rotors way alot fyi. just as an comparison a 1.3 wankle weighs roughly the same as an 5.7 ls1 v8"

And yet you just said to me yourself that even the 'Alloy Block' LS1 weighs around 150kg vs the 13b's 85kg, both motors fully equipped, how is 85kg roughly the same as 150kg?..

Ls7 is a Great engine though, I agree with that, I raced against the Compuware Corvettes at Sebring in 05.

  • @Grid100 ok i admit i was wrong, i was always told they where heavy due to the rotor, and was mostly talking about the turbo motor

  • @Grid100

what they should have been trying to prove with their 1.3 wankel vs 5.7 v8 are displacement issues

the wankel is only classified as a 1.3L each turn of the 'crank' will mean that the three sides of the rotor will fire

not just once a rotation, because of this, displacement is counted higher as the engine will fire and create combustion 3 times each full rotation

the great thing about rotaries is the weight saved by having a motor that essentially overlaps combustion

    feel free to correct

  • @DaftPACman Wankel lololololol

  • @Grid100 hmmm i dont think ur correct sumhow mate. i think u should have anohter look if i were you. if the rotorys weighed even half as much as u say they do, why is the car light as fuck? if u put a 5.7 v8 in a rx7 it would weigh a shite site more than it does with its own engine in,.

  • @joshyboi8 @DaftPACman

Rotary’s are heavy for their size. A GM LS series sawp (engine/trans) normly only adds about 70 or so lbs.

    13b-rew 2 rotor fully dressed 400+-lbs .Stock trim 261hp 300tq 20b-REW 3 rotor fully dressed 700lbs . Stock trim :300hp 300tq

    LS2 /ls6 fully dressed 497lbs/515lbs Stock trim:400hp 400tq/500hp 470tq

  • @joshyboi8 Steady on!..? I have been saying just how 'Light' the rotory engine is!.. I said the 13b weighs 85kg and the Ls7 weighs 150kg. Not an argument, but re-read what I wrote and who it was written too and in what context. Cheers :-)

  • @Grid100 I have both engines in my garage. I don't have a scale but the turbo 13b REW does not weigh 70kg with all the accesories turbo, manifolds and plumbing. I would not say the LS1 is twice a turbo 13b more like 20 - 25 kg heavier if that

  • @alwayssbored I would not use the turbo, merely the 13b in N/A form, and that is approx 85kg with the intake assembly. Interestingly the very set up that I'm talking about is being used in Clubman Rallying here in the UK, where it is not subject to a displacement mutiplier, i.e 1.4x N/A displacement if turbocharged, therefore it can run in the 1300cc class, those engines fully dressed weigh 85kg and amazingly produce around 300bhp.

  • @StumpDrummer 2.6L. 26Bs are basically a pare on 13Bs joint together.

  • @ Freeker.... massive lol

  • Did anyone else see the pipes below the turbo turn red?

  • @PokerKing1993 no dumbass nobody noticed the bright red pipes that were clearly in the shot every time. what the fuck kind of question is that "Did anyone else see the pipes below the turbo turn red?" put your face under there and see if you can see the red pipes?

  • Did anyone else see the pipes turn red below the turbo?

  • @PokerKing1993 thats the exhaust manifold, if you give any engine enough rpms for a long period of time it will do that, but thats a turbo manifold so it does it easier, sick right?

  • 1500+ HP

    "That's enough for me."

    "Fuck You."

  • He may be refering to a big block v8 those dont really hit high rpms. usually the smaller the pistons the more rpms. The v12s u see being put in buggatis and what not have very small pistons and they can run faster being that they are much smaller.

  • @Fr3nchFR135 dude a Buggatti isnt a v12 its not even a v its a W16 16.4 litre 4 turbo 1001bhp just wanted to tell u it isnt a v12

  • @tharealdvl no, now you are wrong, 16.4 = 16 cylinders, 4 turbos, the Veyron is actually 8.0 liters, the Veyron isn't a V12, but all Bugattis aren't W16's the EB110 is a W12 =D

  • @tharealdvl 1001PS (metric horsepower) equivalent to 987.29 BHP. Sorry to all those 16yo hardcore veyron fans...

  • anyone up for turbo grilled cheese?

  • ooooh my jesus freakin balls! I love turbos!

  • @ginzaracing YOOO WHO GIVES AH FUCK

  • when u hear it whistle, you know some shits about to go down

  • nice thing about rotory engines is you can stack however many of them together and all you need is a custom crank, just think you could put two of these together and have 8 rotors its a beautiful thing, so is the fact that those flames that shot up around the mani were from it getting so hot it ignited the air around it which takes aproximetly 1009 degrees F

  • i wouldnt wana ride the quad with this fire ball....that aint burning fuel i smell its burning flesh!

  • How long would you expect it to last like that? It looks like its on the verge of a massive explosion, lol!

  • finger likin good

  • that thing gets slightly hot at times

  • looks like the one on my grandmas schwinn beach bike

  • by the way how many rpm does that reaches

  • why is the exhaust getting so hot?

  • @GE24Tony

what a noob, if you turn your speakers up you can hear that turbo?

Yeah that turbo is forcing a shit ton of air into the engine, which gets more fuel, which has to leave somehow.

  • @DrBlueTongue listen you piece of shit i didn't maked you noob so please give me a decent answer for one or for both my questions if not be kind and shut the fuck up!!!

  • @GE24Tony

Read my answer again, noob, and you will see that i did answer why the exhaust was hot.

    Or are you 5?

  • @DrBlueTongue

my idea was you to stop swearing!!!!!!!!!

  • @GE24Tony Burning fuel is hot. Burning a lot of fuel is really hot. Forcing more air/fuel mix into an engine with a turbo makes things really, really hot. Add to that the slight backpressure of the exhaust turbine concentrates heat even more.

About your second question. Pause at about 2:16. 1664HP at 7800RPM. The dyno pull went to 8200RPM but the motor stopped making power after 7800RPM.

Btw why was that guy being such a jerk? If you don’t know something, ask. That's how people learn.

  • Comment removed

  • @Warblade118

well i've asked but some peoples give iiot asnwers...

btw thanks for the answer but i figured dout myself:))

    thanx anyway

  • @Warblade118

    good description for that noob

  • that is a wicked 4X

  • WTF! this is nutz. I can see satan trying to get out of the turbo manifold!

  • if you put that in your car your bound to die the first time you drive it

  • looking at his post obv not....lol but hell come back with some stupid comment trying to make up for it..."i meant apex seals, not HG" lol

  • Comment removed

  • @DudeWithaPage hahaha do you know what a rotory engine is?!

  • @AndyDittmar its a big metal vagina

  • @DudeWithaPage what a come back. i simply asked if you knew what the structure of a rotory engine was and you come back with an insult.

  • @AndyDittmar ho am i insulting you? i just stated what a rotary engine was
