Clearly on the overzealous side though. A LOT less effort is needed to cut through targets hundreds times thicker than simple sheets of newspaper, so why the cosmic amounts of muscle? That's what I'd like to know; the guy looks like he's about to throw a shoulder out.
@Proton1 I understand what you mean, but he's performing a version of the "cirkle technique" of HapKiDo. I guess that he has done this technique over and over again. So It's a bit of a reflex. In front of the camera he just want to do it good... Everybody has his own way of expressing a technique. I like this way!

武藝圖譜通志Muye Dobo Tongji (1790) : Comprehensive Illustrated Manual of Martial Arts in Korea
The main sword arts in the book.
雙手刀 (LongSword) = Japanese sword art
提督劒 (AdmiralSword) = Chinese sword art
雙劒 (DoubleSword) = Chinese sword art
本国劒/鋭刀 (KoreanSword) = The lost sword art. It was only a few documents. Can the martial art be learned only by reading the document?
Where is the sword art of Korea which continues without breaking off from ancient times?
