@AishwaryaRaiOnline1 I agree, so much more in depth than Carrie Fishers rendition of princess Leia, She really shines when shes on screen. In the episode where she says goodbye to Talyn John, is just so heart wrenching. Im a former marine and im not afraid to admit i actually cried at that scene. She was also really great for a bit in Pitch Black, Im really hoping to see her in more roles. Ty for your post. :D

I really wish she got big leading woman film roles. She brings so much depth to her characters, has one of the most magnificent female voices in the business, exudes inteligence and confidence, and is goddamned gorgeous.  I can easily see her as both action hero or "white collar" hero (lawyer, politician, reporter, doctor etc...). Or a splendid and nuanced villian. ;)

@adrake1000 Because She IS Australian. She was born here. I've seen her in many roles for about 20 yrs.

There are 3 main Aussie accents,not defined by region & they cross class. Broad,general & Cultured. Steve Irwin had a broad accent. Gigi Edgley has a General accent(the one most Aussies have) & Claudia has a cultivated one. She has explained her grandmother always corrected her & encouraged her to 'speak properly' which many older Aussies were taught was the accent of the motherland e.g UK.

@MoonFaeries See my other post. She has what is called an 'educated' or cultivated accent.But I agree,even for an Aussie 'posh' accent,she sounds very English,even to my Australian ears. But yes,she is DEFINITELY a born and bred Aussie.Spread it around,cos hardly anybody knows the gorgeous Claudia is one of ours!

I got to meet her at the Dragon Con this year in Atlanta, she is absolutely gorgeous, beng my all time favorite star it was great. She is a bit hit anywhere. I miss her as Vala and Aryn, hope to see her soon on TV, I wish SG1 would come back! And really, really hope I can meet her again. Drew :-)
