If you notice both times (for both textures) he messed with the reflection he never actually checked it on. Just a heads up that it need to be checked to actually do anything.

@LxrKan wait Cinema 4D is free? Yeah I was new to cinema 4d so i thought it was similar. I'll use this and pinnacle. You can import the 3d background.template thing into pinnacle right?

@nwiley619 1 o its it is in no way free, but there are other, more ilegal methods of getting the program... (but be carefully)

You cant just import, you have to render it, or use after effects to import a special file type that c4d can export.

ive never used pinnicle, but im guessing its a half way point between windows movie maker and vegas... right? so i dunno, if you comfortable with it, dont bother changing...

If anyone is have the problem where the text object doesn't appear, try this:

Click on Mograph from the top menu, and then hit 3D text object,

NOTE: no extrude nurbs needed

NOTE 2: you need C4D r11 or later for this function to be available. (i didnt have it at the time i made this video)

@BlackOpsFliikzZ you hold the button and the menu will drop down and you keep holding the mouse button down until you are over the one you want then you relese the mouse button and it will select it

@LxrKan :) thx, I found the answer myself eventually. I used the render to picture button and changed some of my render settings ( I followed a tut on good render settings, but that was for pictures and it took ages, so I put anti-alliasing and global ill. off and then it worked :P ) I'll post it in a video response in a min, after I've done AEFX on it ;)

Thanks man good tut. Real basic nub question but i can never free look with the mouse, I try dragging clicking everything and it does nothing. I can only move with arrow keys!

to move like that hold teh '1' key while holding the left mouse button to just move up down left right

the '2' key the same way to zoom in and out

the '3' key likewise to free roam.

These also tilt and so forth with the 123 with teh right mouse button.

Go to render settings. The do what you want.

Then render to picture viewer. save as PNG or JPEg or watever and you have it.

In Programs like these its The render button not the save as button.

the save as button only saves teh raw .c4d file.
