I'm sure someone has walked the 5 to 7 miles to the cars location, but there is really no point to walking there. Most people who go to walk to the lights, walk into the little valley, the light gets blocked by the hill in the middle (between the cars and the viewing spot), and they think they either passed the place where the lights come from, or give up.
Wow, this brings back a lot of memories!. My old boyfriend was from the area and used to take me up there many times, late at night, to see the mysterious lights.

It is cars. I went there and saw the road and the cars. Michigan Tech has debunked this already, they even have a vid on You Tube, "Unraveling the Paulding Light Mystery" . A strong pair of binoculars or a telescope is all you need to debunk this.
Fact or Faked is a laughably bad show. They at no point drove to where the lights come from. In the cart they drove to the hill that's less than a mile away, and they blocked off the wrong part of 45.
@MrODOking Have you been to the light or to Upper Michigan? Go check it out for yourself young man There is no traffic jam that last all night in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This light goes on all night. They reported these lights back in the 1800's when they only had horses Don't go alone Ha Ha Thanks for posting have a good day.
@MrODOking I have never head that one about Michigan Tech. I've been there and i know it is not cars.(been there done that) Si Fi channel on TV had Paulding light featured this past summer and they could not figure it out They used airplane,telescopes, radio's, ATV's. Go there see it for yourself it's cool.

If this light was car headlights, the light would not last so long, it would be bright then dim down as the car drove down the hill or road. I do believe this to be paranormal.
I have been here several times...and plan on bringing my children this summer...what I meant to say was not this isn't the Paulding lights but that it just wasn't just one bright light amplified by the camera...it was three lights white/green, red, and blue....this is a great video but with the naked eye the lights were more defined....we stayed two nights camping at the lake and also saw mysterious flashes in the sky....
@gbryananderson I let the camera run for a hour on tripod and I just took a few minutes out of the video to keep it short for you tube. Yes there is Red and Green lights but they are smaller ( they are suppose to be Railroad Lantern's) The light actually affective the focus on the camera which I thought was really cool. You and the kids have fun camping this summer and thanks for the posting.
@OmegaWolf747 The road is washed out from a creek that goes through so you can't drive. People walk to the light. When they get up there they can't see the light. This whole thing is very strange. But very cool.
@Landotom bring two cell phones....when you walk the trail down...and if possible jump the creek you probably won't see the lights...but call your buddy on the hill at the same time and ask if they see the lights....

Cars, always has been. If you take a telescope you see the cars (like MTU did, that vid is posted).

If this light was car headlights, the light would not last so long, it would be bright then dim down as the car drove down the hill or road. I do believe this to be paranormal.
