Having discovered this song I have to hear it over and over again. What a masterpiece. "apnay he haathon sey mittai naheen jaati" bring rafi back or music will die.
Hans raj comes up with a great tune, and has a singer like rafi to sing for him. What a great opportunity to record a masterpiece. However, Hansraj does not make rafi go into the fourth octave, as only rafi could. Also the song is too short. Hansraj should have found another verse from somewhere or repeated one of the verses so that this great tune could last a little longer. Naushad did utilize rafi high notes in baijoo bawra and has left for us the greatest four songs of all times.
just listen to Rafi saying 'Yaad', so melodious, voice dipped in honey, then listen him shifting suddenly from high to higher notes, such effortlessly. His voice has so depth and Rythm, Rafi would always give each of his songs something extra, he was matchless in this field
thanks for a very beautiful rafi song . the audio quality is excellent and i seem to have heard it sometime long back ago . thanks for reminding about it again .
Your info is correct. It is from kaneez 1949. and music by Ghulam Haider. I search for this song for 25 years and finally got it from Internet. A Rafi GEM indeed
Har roz to yeh duniya basai nahi jati. MY favourite gazal by Rafi on All India Radio Urdu Programme in Seventies which I was frantically searching till now.
Rafi saheb no doubt I can not forget you I grew up listening to your songs broadcast on radio. Not a single day has gone without listening to immortal voice. Your voice has become part and parcel of my life. I pay my tribute to you.
A private Ghazal, so emotiomally penned by Rajinder Krishan, with Rafi's rendition, par excellence! The way Rafi loops around the aalap, displaying immense vocal range and capability, yet maintaining full tonal sweetness, is the most tedious task for a singer. To each and every word, he has poured his heart out. This is why Rafi is Rafi. He becomes the character and not just the singer, singing someone's lyrics. This is Rafi's(also Saigal's) legacy.
Long time since last time I heard this song. Was looking for it every where. Used to listen to it in India on Radio Ceylon on Sunday nights "Hamesha Jawan Geet".
iN MY CHILDHOOD MY ONE OF THE FRIEND HARISH GHANDHI WAS SINGING THIS SONG BUT AFTER 53 YEAR HE SUDDENLY MET ME I COULD NOT RECOGNISED HIM BUT WHEN HE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS SONG I RECALL MY ALL OLD DAYS I AM SO LOVER OF THIS SONG IMIIDEATELEY I ASKED HIM ABOUT CD OF THIS SONG HE TOLD ME THAT I WILL GET THIS FROM YOUTUBE AND ON SAME DAY I HEARD THIS SONGS AND SINCE FROM THAT DAY I AM STILL HEARING THIS SONG WHILE OPENING MY LAPTOP.i REALLY THANKS WHO STORED THIS SONG IN YOUTUBE.
Hansraj Behl did fantastic work for giving a chance this amazing young singer Mohammed Rafi who transformed this song into gold. In these lyric there is so much truth. Thanks. Khushy.
I too was under the impression that this is a private song. BUT I did came across the information through Mr Chandrashekar, that this is from Film: KANEEZ 1949 composed by Gulam Haider.
I rectified the mistake in mentioned it in the information.
I do not know if this information is correct, I knew this song as a private song. But I think there is a different song, by Zeenat Begum, which contains the words "Is Dil Se Teri Yaad", in Kaneez. However, I must check out what you say.
My knowledge in music is very very limited. Never been in touch with the Radio/TV. Recently taking interest that too what is in my memory of the past years music.
I am not sure about this Rafi song. I rendered it as a private then changed the information.
I will be happy if this comes to be a private song.
Can someone please upload "NAZAR NAWAZ NAZARON MEIN JEE NAHIN LAGATA, FIZA GAYI TO, BAHARON MEIN JEE NAHIN LAGATA".
