@zealotpsionics He has the bandana on there to eliminate fret buzz. Since he plays fairly hard the strings vibrate more. I believe he intially used a bandana because thats what he had around to use. But now its kind of "his look". I personally just use a hair tie and found it works just fine.

@hammettfreak1 Fret buzz is something you get when the strings hit the frets, either from a poor setup or playing overly aggressive on a guitar with a low action. The bandanna is actually to mute the strings between the nut and the tuning pegs. Normally one wouldnt even be able to hear those tones, but on nicer guitars, and in a lot of antoines songs, his particular style has lots of percussive hits and mutes, in which those tones can be heard. I think hes particularly sensitive to them....

@IntelligentMovement I think antoine mentions what strings/gauges he uses in his FAQ video. Double check but I think its elixir phospher bronze. I have only ever used d'addario & elixir. Elixir is the better of the two. Especially if your guitar is a high end model.

@IntelligentMovement Chances are even if picked up that exact guitar you wont get the same tone. Tone..imo...is nearly as much in your technique as it is in your equipment. Certainly worth trying though. Its a stonebridge CR23 i think and he usually uses elixir phosphor bronze, either the mediums or the custom lights depending on the tuning. I really like the custom lights...they are my favorite strings.
