Nevermind i listened to it again and it sounded good :} I was wondering other than the making the sound hole and the holes for the notes do you have to cut anything else inside to make it sound like an ocarina ?if you make another ocarina you could try making a a full video.I just ordered 29 pounds of stoneware cone 8 clay so i could do a bit of trial and error.
I don't know when I'll be making a new ocarina but I do know a couple good tutorials on making them here on youtube.
You should check out 2 of my good friends pages and find their tut's. First off is Ocarinatycoon. I originally learned using that method, which I think was a good way, maybe even better way to learn as it helps you to better understand what you're doing and how it works.
Next is Schwessie. That's basically the way I do it now.
And to answer your question simply, no. Other than cutting the ocarina body itself in half to hollow it out, there are only the sound hole/air channel and fingering holes.
Ok cool ive watched ocarinatycoons but the only part that confused me was when after he made the downward cut he said do the same to the top.Ill make a video response to his video after i make my first one.Cheers.
I really love your claw shaped ocarinas. I might have to beg you to make me one XD They're very good sounding ocarinas you make, you should be proud. There are only a couple people who can beat these in terms of hand made ocarinas in my opinion.
You've seen me before? O_o That surprises me... and makes me feel special XD I am known...
Well I'm usually fairly curious and read a lot of the comments left on videos that interest me so I've seen you posting a fair bit and often have interesting things to say. I'm surprised I haven't checked you out before ;) I will later cuz the wife's playing music right now =p
Thanks for your awesome compliments man! Wow I've got a lot of people getting interested in getting one from me :)
I wasn't really all that interested in pendants originally either until I started making them.
In all honesty, right now I've been making the pendants because they're a bit easier/quicker to make. So I figure I'll work on these until I get them for the most part, perfected. and then maybe I'll try out more holes. But I have to say, now that's I've made a few, and have been learning them more, they really are a lot of fun!
All i can say is wow. By far one of the best ocs ive seen you make. Im sure and hope your buddy enjoyed it.

@DanGwanCie That's unfortunate!
I thought I had the volume low enough, sorry about that!
I pretty much just show'd it off, I don't think I really said anything important.
& just to let you know, the song is Korn - Twisted Transistor

well with 29lbs you'll have lots to learn with.

No putting music in the background of ocarina videos. Not allowed XD
Very purdy ocarina, though

Haha I have good reason! I really do ramble and over explain things a lot! Ask my wife, she'll tell ya ;)
I try adding a little something else to help not kill peoples brains =p
I think I should have turned the volume down just a tad bit more though.
Thanks for the compliment, I worked pretty hard on this one to get a more Zelda like shape compared to my claws and for my buddy ;)
I've seen you posting around the ocarina peoples, was wondering if I was going to run into you! Thanks for the add!
