it does have an 'alternate ending' just beat it in under 3 hours. (i just got 2:55) and when samus jumps at the 'The End' She lands without her suit on and lands in some panties and a top

This came out on Thanksgiving day for the 3DS's Virtual Console for $3.99. Great price, considering Nintendo jacks up the prices of popular Gameboy games (*cough*7dollarsforLinksAwaken­ingDX*cough*).

My copy of this game was really fricked up, and usually when I played it, it would freeze mid-game, and since the save system in the cartridge was screwed up, it would never save. So when it froze, I had to start ALL OVER at the beginning. Well, one time, I decided that I needed to beat the game, no matter what. So, with a little help from a SR388 map, and keeping my SP perfectly still, I BEAT THE ******* GAME!!!!! FINALLY!!!!! Now, what does that tell you about how much I love Metroid?

I'm not sure but I think there's only one ending for this one. One thing is sure, I have a result of 100% for finding everyting in this game but it doesn't count for having the best ending, like the Super NES version.

For having the best ending with Super Metroid on SNES, you must finish the game in 3 hours or less, it's very difficult!

I think there's three endings for this one: One where Samus just stands there, the one in this vid where she runs, and a third I saw some time ago where she jumps out of her suit.

There was four, the standing one, the running one, one where she jumps and takes off her helmet and the one where she jumps out of her suit.

Percentage only counts in the GBA and GameCube titles. the first three games only ever counted the time toward the endings.
