  • FKIN NICE .... HOW MUCH LIFT?

  • any after ?

  • thats a beast of a truck man..

  • is it for sale? if so where are u located? pm me.

  • nice I have a 74 its not much of a looker but I have a reenforced drive tran and 11/4 in thick enforced for rock clibing here in Alaska, I just need a bed, grill, intiror and paint job lol

  • I love these so much. Im looking at these for my first truck

  • i got an old 1977 ford f250 custom original yellow paint, it got a flatbed to replace the old rusted box and i uploaded a few videos of it in the mud. it runs very good it has a new cam in the motor

  • one of my neighbors has one about like that. he put the 7.3 idi in it and turboed it. says he gets about 18 mpg on 37s and 4.88s. beautiful truck

  • is it lifted at all?

  • wat kinda mileage were ya gettin any lift? about to pick up one with a 400m he says he thinks its got a mild cam and its got a 3 inch body lift and 4 barrel edelbrock.. 4b carb probably rapes the mileage though

  • super nice truck my dad had one just like it but red, it was a pullin truck and had 650hp he won all kinds of trophies pullin it, i miss it

  • Nice looking truck. Looks mean

  • nice truck very nice. i have a 76 ford highboy just like it but mine is gray.

  • DAMN................. BADASS FORD

  • nice truck

  • Bad ass

  • My cousin has one of those. It's all black. Its sounds like a beast. you should have started it up

  • lovely truck bro...best looking trucks

  • Mint truck, the highboys are the way to go. I'd like to hear her run when you get the 521 in her.

  • is it for sale

  • What kind of tires. Love the truck

  • @joeyrideskinkbikes 35" Gumbo Monster Mudders

  • dude i think id cut off a arm for that. 460 or 351?

  • came with a 351m, it is getting a 521 big block Ford

  • @Folgers350 mint 521 is a good motor had one in a 76 3/4 ton, didnt have any problems turning 44'' lol

  • @Folgers350 C6 transmission to a 9" rear end?

  • @luckystrikebrand1983 C6 to NP205 transfer case to Dana 60 rear, 4.10s Detroit Locker

  • @Folgers350 Nice. What kind of locker set up are you running?

  • hell you dont need no floor in a truck like that throw down some plywood

  • it looks like someone switched this to manual steering before you got it. Notice the hole in the drag link for the ram assist. Most likely because they couldnt find a replacement cylinder. There is a 400$ core charge on them. It's a good system though, you dont need those stabilizers as all slack is accounted for with the hydraulic cylinder. Good lookin truck!

  • why the fuck would you put a cowel on this

  • @shiftedx2 bought it like this

  • @shiftedx2 is it for sale

  • wanna sell it?

  • not really, i'll have $18,000-$19,000 into it by the time i'm done...

  • It doesnt get any better than that!

  • love it! i gotta 76 f100. i think the cowl is kinda gay though

  • @mudboy59 I agree, beautiful truck, ugly cowl. Those just don't look right on that vintage.

  • Start it up!

  • Nice truck!!-- great start for a restoration. i had a 79 that i wish i never sold(new owner destroyed it) i still have a 78 that i am almost done with a restoration. how far have you gotten?

  • LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

  • beautiful truck...YARRRR!!! built ford tough.

  • ha man you should drive that truck over to my house, and check out my 78 ford i see this truck in blane all the time nice looking truck.

  • Ahhhh!! power steering gear box you lucky bastard HAHAHA!!

  • haha guess i didnt have the details. still good lookin truck. cant wait to see it when its finished

  • that truck doesnt need restored!

  • lol, it had no floor, the box sides caved in when the tailgate was opened (sides were almost solid bondo), cab mounts were rusted, transmission mount was gone, and the carrier in the front axle had a few bolts that fell out, and that got smashed between the ring and pinion gears...do i need to continue???? LMAO

don't worry, it will be perfect when it is done :)

  • Howdy!, great truck. Just had my friend pick up a 74 250 highboy for me while I'm deployed. Can't wait to get back and play with it. Great video for showing me what I'll have.

  • purely american

  • wish i had my dads old 250 he sold it to a guy who took it through the woods and bent the stacks off an old mack truck was a beauty and I know where it is too here in MN about fifteen miles away and it has been sitting for six or seven years in the middle of the woods

  • and now im in love

  • dude nice highboy! i want one with a six inch lift so i can drive it for the trails only. my dads got a 347 sitting in the garage.he he he a nine second motor.

  • Whoever posted this is a lucky mna. I'm in the Marine Corps and have been looking for a 77 highboy. Thanks to three combat deployments i have saved up a large chunk of change and have a crate 351c in the garage just waiting to find a home...new carb and headers....I have a 71 mustand that my wife wants me to put in in, but i'm waiting for my dream 77f250. nice truck dude. know where i can find one?

  • The best place to find a truck is to go to a local junkyard that buys whole trucks and parts from Arizona...I bought this truck here in MN, and the body was in tough shape...So I ended up buying a 1979 F-150 AZ parts truck from a junkyard here in MN. So now, my truck will have a perfectly straight, rust free AZ truck body, on the 77' Highboy drivetrain/chassis...

  • hell yeah! Ford of the Day Award!!!

  • An absolute beauty!!!!

  • makes me miss my 77...

  • She's mean

  • Aw man I'm getting sick to my stomach watching this... If i saw that truck driving by your house I would just have to back up and sit and stare. Nice truck

  • gotta love them old fords!

  • Oh yeah. Good solid -and beautiful- trucks

  • this is with a lift under it? iver got a facotry 77 higboy with 265s on it and it doesnt look like its much lower than this. just smaller tires

  • what kind of wheels are those? what size? 16" or 16.5"

  • not sure what brand they are, but I do know they are 16.5" diameter

  • Did you do the 78-79 power steering conversion? I got a 76 highboy and I got all the parts to do it, but I drive the truck daily and it looks to be a little more than a 6 pack job! If you did let me know how long it took ya!!!

  • No, one of the previous owners did that conversion...doesn't look like it would take too long. Looks like they took a sledge hammer and smashed down the part of the frame that sticks up. Then they welded in a plate that the steering box bolts to. And the radiator support had a piece cut out of it for clearance for the steering box...prolly could do it in under an hour if ya take the front clip off...

  • do need any more lift to these after the factory lift to fit in 35s?

  • probably not too much, but just to be safe, I'd want at least 3 inches of lift...

This truck has a total of 8 inches of lift...(Skyjacker lift springs and the 35s)

  • i got 35s on my highboy with just a factory lift

  • sweet ass truck check out my buddy truck....

  • Cool truck...don't see too many of those early 70s Fords in MN...most of them have rusted away. :(

I'm gonna try to get my new 521 stroker built/started in a few weeks...just have to weld up a stand for it, first. I'll make sure to upload a video of it.

  • u gota bunch a shit to do then...

  • fukn sweet...

  • Hope it has a lot of power...engine and trans together cost me 7,000 bucks to have rebuilt. I will probably assemble the engine and start it within a couple months...I have a few things to do, first, though: rebuild the axles, cleanup the suspension and steering, make some engine mounts, and sandblast and paint the frame.

  • o...wacha gonna put in it then? (motor wise)

  • 500HP/650Tq. 521 Big Block Ford stroker

  • why are you going to restore it?!?! looks great compared to my P.O.S.!

  • Where do I start?...the floor was almost gone, the seat was shot, the transmission mount wasn't attatched anymore (rusted off), parking brake was gone, exhaust was rusted, rocker panels were gone, frame was rusty, box sides were made from Bondo, tailgate didn't close too easily, windshield was cracked, windows didn't roll down, I wanted a bigger engine in it and an auto transmission, etc...This truck will be sooo much better when I'm done with it. :)

  • wouldve kept the 351m n built it up but thats my opinion cause they're nice engines..but the 521 should be sweet should sound rele good..truck looks good as it is so resoration should obviously be even better...wt size tires are on that?

  • Yeah, I love the sound of the 351m, and it was the original engine in the truck...but I wanted more power, and for sure an auto transmission in this truck (since I will be driving it a lot)...I'll find something cool to put the 351m in...it doesn't need much work, since it still runs and only has around 60,000 original miles on it. The tires are 35" Gumbo Monster Mudders on 16.5" wheels...I measured the tires, and they squish down to 34" when on the truck, and measure almost 14" wide.

  • Forogt to mention that I will have to make some custom bumpers for this truck to meet the MN 25" bumper height law. Right now the front bumper is 30" from the ground. Also because the tires stick out past the fenders, I will be adding some fender flares.

  • nice truck. what all you plan on doing to it? any mods to the 351?

  • Gonna look pretty much the same...same paint, red and blue interior, hood scoop will be turned the other way, black rollbar, black bumpers, black wheels, same tires, CB, some offroad lights, 500HP/650Tq. 521 BBF stroker with C6 transmission, headers going to 3" true duals with Cherry Bomb glasspacks, going to 3" side pipes...gonna take some time to build, but I do have a great rust-free parts truck from AZ to help with the project.

  • man that sounds like its gonna be one badass truck. cant wait to see it finished. dont forget to get pics while your doing it. good luck with it.

  • were did u get the hood scoop

  • The owner before me put the scoop on the truck...I'm not sure where he got it from.

  • yup, and it will look even better when it's restored. :)

  • thats a nice looking truck you got there
