  • so sick!

  • from the into i thought it was underground racing or something awsome, but this even awsomer!

  • 1:16 like spermatozoids

  • @master716248 I see this message on a LOT of YouTube videos....Sounds an awful lot like spamming to to me....my bad if you AREN'T just a shill for this Citruaid.

  • @master716248 stop spamming

  • What if you were on the beach one day, and all these people were swimming your way? wtf? haha

  • these people are gods of fitness

i am doing my third liverpool olympic distance triathlo in june!

one day i hope to be fit enough to do ironman!!!!! live strong.........

  • it's TRAIN EAT SLEEP

  • @TheLakemann repetition and routine is the spice of life

  • @pointswim cum on my wife is the spice of my life ... but will train triathlon too :P

  • Let's opt for the Pussyman Triathlon; swim one pool lap, bike one block, and run a hundred yards.

  • how is it possible to train for this event if you have a 8-12 hour job?

  • @legend1617 work at a ymca. bike 30 miles to work, swim 2 miles during lunch, bike 30 miles home, put the kids to bed, run 7 miles, and go to bed. Bike long and run long on the weekends. IMWI '08, '09, '10

  • @pointswim Your first mistake is settling in life for a nowhere, dead-end job at the YMCA .

  • these Ironman are the elite SAS of human athletes

  • God I love this. I'm so pumped now!

  • football and basketball sux if u compare it will triathlon

  • Viva Ferenc Szőnyi the Double Deca Ironman 2010 winnner! Little state with great people - Hungary

  • @waltkrieg oh and also the temp of the water depends on the location of the ironman, some are in hawaii where the water is warm and others further north or south where the water is pretty cold. it really depends on the location because california is pretty hot but the beaches are always cold because of the alaskan current but im not sure Cali hosts an ironman.

  • @waltkrieg well your obviously not gonna stop during a swim to grab a bite to eat or drink. in a marathon food and water is provided throughout the course. water at every mile and snacks such as pretzels, nuts, bananas ect.. but i dont know how that works in iornmans. but im sure thats why its an ironman because you have to push through the cramps, fatigue, and self doubt and when you're all done its absolutely worth it.

  • Cant wait for my turn...will start with a half next year =D

  • @HugoMMatos pussy

  • @retardfried

??? Are you some Mark Allen Or Dave scott?? if so, im sorry, im really a pussy!!! =)

  • no NFL MLB NBA NHL FIFA or watever else i forgot athlete has nothing on these guys...fuck a million dollar contract..these people have million dollar hearts, minds, and souls...

  • I just want to say that the days leading up to Ironman Wisconsin this past year, this was my go-to motivation. Thanks!

  • @gsf04 well ive never done an iron man but i have ran a marathon and believe me when i say that it is 80% mental and 20% physical....you will doubt yourself of finishing n your in at about mile twenty but digging deep inside and finding some sort of motivation is the best way to finish. (my dad told me i wasnt going to finish, my goal was to prove him wrong) so i did it without stopping. now the iron man is my next goal

  • @shinhigh Good for you! Your Dad sounds like mine and I've worked hard to prove him wrong many times (and always succeeded). It's sometimes the best motivation there is! Book your Ironman and go for it....

  • @shinhigh But if your body is not fit enough you can not finish. Also, I am a long distance runner and I can tell you that I would never participate to an Ironman, because I am not a good swimmer.

Finally, Im wandering how is it to swim... Is it cold ? Warm ? and what is happening when a swimmer has cramps ? or when the athlete is hungry or thirsty ?

  • @WALTKRIEG No ones body is fit enough for a ironman. You need to be alot more then in shape to be a ironman. You have to be mentally fit enough to push yourself through the last 42k.

  • @minidude0 I am agree with you about the mental toughness.. I am sure than even the best of the bests is never 100% sure to finish.

  • fucking heroes

  • never done an ironman but it is my ultimate goal to finish it. i have volunteered at a water stop for the disney ironman and i am always amazed at the persistance of the runners

  • great video. i would have picked another song but anyway

  • The 22 dislikes DNF!

  • im 15, in training, and planning to do the 2018 lanzarote ironman

  • @xsnrgise - Fantastic! Would love to get my 20yr old son out but there's not much chance of that happening! PS anyone got any good tips on websites for training or just good tips on what to do or not to do!?!

  • @gsf04 I'm 22 now and I started training for ironman three months ago. I still have five months to go but I feel better than ever. The way I approached my mother and sister to get into the sport with me is by example. I train two to three hours a day and I eat right (not diet). I dropped 10kg in the three months i've been training hard, I get up at 4 in the morning and not feel tired, I achieve goals I never thought possible and they see that and start wondering if it's possible for them too.

  • @gsf04 By example. I'm 22 and I can tell you that by example I'm getting my mother and sister into this. By training three hours a day, by losing weight, by looking and feeling good and by living better they see there is something to training towards the ULTIMATE goal! You can check out the videos on youtube posted by "underground wellness". What he says is not always very accurate but the basics is there and he goes to a gym where he speaks to personal trainers that know their stuff.

  • @MrBozo88 Fair play to you! I'm an ex-International decathlete (and now personal trainer) and you sound very committed and will do very well I'm sure. I once did two decathlons in 5 days and that was tough, but I have always loved the mystique surrounding the Ironman. I can't wait to tell everyone I've done it!

  • @gsf04 Hey, I just spotted both my messages went through, hahaha. I envy you, since I set my sights on Ironman and started training I thought of becoming a personal trainer (I hate a desk!). Me too, the excitement is building every day. And then after I earn my ticket to Hawaii, I want to do a ultraman as well. If you were a decathlete then you'll breeze through the ironman, i mean ironman is just three different professions, not ten. Anyway, good luck and all the best. Post a video afterwards!

  • @ burtrumbean if by wanting it enough you mean training hard for months in preparation then yeah, anyone can.

  • oh irony. the whole ironman course takes so much more time than this motivation. and you definately won't want to do that in slow motion :)

  • Awesome! I've got my first Ironman in Sep 2011 in Wales...can't wait!

  • @gsf04 Yep me too, my 6th. Doing it this time with my 18 yr old daughter - can't wait. Good luck with your training.

  • anyone can do ironman if they want it enough

  • I have a friend that is going to do this next year and wish him the best! This was inspiring and makes me want to go further with my running!

  • A Battle, A determination, A drug to be achieved and to prove the world what you have and they don't.

I SAlute all the people who participate in IRONMAN

  • Damn- this makes me cry. I've done the shorter tri's, and I'm working on a marathon. Someday- perhaps before I turn 50 (3.5 yrs), I too, will join the ranks of the Ironmen. Until then, I have nothing but respect and admiration.

  • inside information... next year ... athens ... ironman runner from croatia named grubac is gonna win .... he is raelly strong ... he can run very fast and he can ride a bike two times to sljeme withouth even gettin tired ... the only thing is he cant swim... but he has one year to learn .... once he learnes that nobady is gonna stop him !!!!! be sure of that !!! and remeber that name !!!! grubac "the jebac"

  • @policebrutal This is 3 sports in one. Swim, bike, run. Just because he can bike fast it does not mean that he can run fast after bike... and swim first. It's very different than 'just bike'.

  • Holy shit, i can barely jog 1.5 miles.

  • Inspirational!

  • This isn't a sprint, this isn't a hobby, this isn't a hill...this is a mountain of a goal, a love, a passion, and a lifestyle. You don't do the Ironman, the Ironman does you. 2.4, 112, 26.2 means that only those with hearts of lions can thrive here. Rock on triathletes and livestrong!

  • I think the reason for no black people is that they haven't found out about the swiming yet. just like not many black people play ice hockey, its a white man's sport.

Just like basketball was a black people's sport. but everything will mix later like everything else.

Congratulations all for finnishing this monster!

  • no offense but why are old wrinkley people winning can we get some young men to win like me

  • It's not all about your physical appearance. It's about the mind. It all happens in the mind. Determination, motivation, perseverance. There are so many things that determine if you make it or not and they're played inside your head. Everyone can go so much further than they think. You'd be amazed what the human body can do.

  • why dont have black people in iron man????

    its a rich sports???

  • FUCKIN NUTS!

  • Ez állati jó

  • this is not ironman motivation. music is not for motivation. the sequence sucks. sorry.

  • Still training for my first 70.3...can't imagin doing a full one!

  • Et hop dans la playlist.

  • @RB902050 You're a complete idiot. You are about to piss off a lot of real athletes you tool! You have no idea what it is like to spend hours a day training for something. IronMan is not, and will never be...easy. No beginner can train for an IM in 1 month...you're a fucking idiot. It takes most people 6 months or more just to train for a marathon! Forget the swim and bike!

  • anyone with any kind of fitness can train 6 months and do IRONMAN. piece of cake baby !

  • @Technopunkster the training may be a peice of cake but to wake up everyday with the same determination as you had yesturday thtats the hard part

and you have to do it even if its raining or snowing

training for these events calls for consistancy

  • @beavervalley1 damn right. I've been going for almost a year to prepare for this event and your motivation starts to wane from time to time but there is always a reason to keep going forward.

  • can't wait for the day when i finally get to compete in one myself...

  • Great video and awesome music to go with it. I watch this video before I head out for my workout. Thanks for uploading.

  • There is no 'can't'...in IronMan.

  • But if you follow the movie, there's a tin can :P

  • @INGRox

well look at Luke Bell 2005....

  • @INGRox

u r so damn right. this guys really rock, this is the tuffest sport event the world has ever seen and you have to be really motivated and powerfull to complete in IM

  • You rock, brother. So true. I am training to own it. First IM in August! Run like you MEAN IT!!

  • I wish you fluent race and good luck !

  • Thanks a lot, brother! You rock!!

  • kudos to them i wich i was that hardcore

  • I wonder if Eminen ever imagned that so many people would use this song for their Ironman motivation - it got me through my first

  • @fitn40lots

it got me through my first too :-)

  • i got tired jus watching this video!!!!!!

  • holy crap i would die

  • it is so tired

  • No offense little dude, but you probably can't do that part either.....it is a LONG way to ride a bike buddy! You'll get there though! Yoy've got lots of time to train!

  • no you defiantly could not with out AT LEAST a few months of training. and even than couple a 2.4 mile swim on the front. you would die

  • couple of months? you need years:S

  • Hawaii Ironman > Florida Ironman

  • Chrissy Wellington performance at Hawaii was incredible!

  • about 8 months to go for my first in canada...

  • Thanks

    ******HaloGotBioshocked****** :)

  • amazing..

    one day :)

  • I did the La marathon in 2009 in 5 hours and that was brutal for me im 16, and plannig to do the Iron Man when im older, and fly to hawaii, and learn how to swim :p

I really respect this competion, and people who finish this *CLAPS*

When I do it I plan to just finish.

  • Can you down load this video to iTunes

  • Can you download this video with song to itunes

  • @1Verbum

    just google downloading utube videos

  • braaaaviiiiiiii :)

  • The true Ironman is Dick Hoyt who does the race with his physically disabled son. Dick pulls him, rides with him and pushes him throughout the entire race. And he is 66 years old. Check out Team Hoyt on youtube.

  • @xlfutur1

Yes, he is a true Ironman, but you're implying no one else is true Ironman, thereby negating everything everyone else has done to tackle this beast.

  • @sedberg1

You are incorrect. Every individual in this triathlon has ironman will, and ironman strength, but few, if any, have the ironman heart displayed by Dick Hoyt. This is a man who carries not only the burden of his own body, but that of his son, for nothing more than to let him experience a sort of pride and accomplishment his body could never achieve on its own. Dick chose the road never travelled, carrying his son on his shoulders with a proud father's smile on his face. God bless

  • @dconrad1987

Ok, so obviously you've never run one of these things if that' what you think. Do one and you'll rethink what you said. God bless.

  • @sedberg1

i have been training for an iron man for the past 3 years, working my way up from sprints to olympic to half irons. I have a very real base of experience in what it takes to register for one of these events. Don't read too into my words and look for opportunities to attack - and be reasonable. I said "few if any have the ironman heart DISPLAYED BY Dick Hoyt". Sure triathletes have heart, myself included - but how many of us have risen up to the test the way Dick has? very few.

  • @dconrad1987

And I'm not negating what he did. It is inspiring, but according to you, unless you have a son with cerebral palsy and do the Ironman with him, you do not have the Ironman heart. As I said, do one, and you'll think differently.

  • @sedberg1

and the way you get so defensive on behalf of triathletes... you had better be one yourself. Even in that case, the fact that you get so personally invested in someone's comment (which does not purposefully 'attack' ironman triathletes other than Dick Hoyt) shows a deep insecurity and longing for recognition from your end. Looks like you have a lot to learn yet. God speed

  • @dconrad1987

Deep insecurity? Just like the same way that my comment, from someone you have never met in your life, not a friend, family or coworker, elicited a response from you, right? So, my opinion is so important to you that you feel the need to validate your comments to me, right? Of course, only if my opinion is important to you will you respond to this and feel the need to get the last word. Looks like you should put your foot in your mouth.

  • @xlfutur1 I agree... but you cant compare different achievements, the one and only true ironman doesnt exist in my opinion

  • wow...oO

    these people are heros...

  • IRONMAN... not "plasticman" or "textile-man" IRONMAN! it's hard by design, if it was easy then everybody would do it. Do you "race" it? or do you just try to survive it? An amazing feat... even people who try to do it should be respected!

  • HOLLY SHIT!!!! i had no idea that it was that hardcore.

I thought it was like 15 miles bike nore 112.

    WoW

    thats crazy.

Im only in highschool, on the xc team. I love it a lot and i have gotten addicted to going out and above what is needed.

Im considering doing a half marathon, but i give these people a lot of credit.

    WOW, crazy stuff,

  • Its around 17 hours of contsant moving and exersion.

  • There is a 17 hour cut off time. Each portion of the race has thier own cutoff time but at max you have 17 hours.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes Ironman has a full marathon at the end.

  • thats a loooong race...

  • 2.6 mile swim 119 mile bike ride and 2.9 mile run

  • 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26 mile run (marathon), i think?

  • I've done ironman twice, the problem is that after you've done it no other event fires you up,there's nowhere else to go.

  • Ahhh...but not all Ironmans are the same. Each course is different. There is always a challenge there, anywhere you go.

  • what about doing a Spartathlon?

  • ultraman?

  • its double the distance of the ironman, but for me and ironman is still a no go. Hope to do one in de future

  • When you have completed an Ironman- what else is there? I mean, THAT is sick - Simply amazing that man is able to do that

  • whats the name of the first song?

    thx for answers

  • silver chair israel's son

  • I beg for a download link :)

    Greetings

  • about 320 days before my first ever ironman. gads am i scared!!! :-)

  • All the best!

  • good luck

  • Your victory is found in the morning swims, endless miles on the bike, and all the long runs you start when you're already tired from the last workout. Champions are made in practice; they're just recognized on the course. Keep moving forward. You WILL be an Ironman!!

  • It's normal believe in yourself and you're program

  • wonderful people, man is truly a machine
