  • I've started brushing my snapper's shell. He absolutely hates it and always tries to destroy me while I clean him. It's almost funny to watch.

  • First, I own a 60+lb over 5 year old common snapper, and the thought of putting my fingers within snapping radius of his mouth wouldnt even go through my head. I wash my turtle, yes, but I make sure a rag is over its head and its dosile - I shit you not one day your going to reach in to scrub its shell like its all cute and loveing and its gunns CRUSH one of ur fingers if not 2 or 3 and that loveing turtle will be in the next bag of trash u bring to the curb

  • how long did it take you to get her clean mine has a very dirty shell i scrub him when i do his water changes (about once a week) and its getting better but ist been months. he had been kept in a very dirty tank too, befor he came to live with me.

  • put it this way you can NOT Fit him in a 55 gal drum he is that big. He wieghs 55 1/2 pounds

  • how big is the shell

  • That turtle looks 1-3 years old. I have 13 and the oldest is 75. My youngest is 3 and looks about that size. Her mom laed eggs three years ago. I am not saying it is not 8-9 but I dont think so sorry.
