pop music today sounds a lot like a MICROSOFT EXCEL SPREADSHEET. And DAWS and cut and paste is exactly why. If you just chop parts and copy/paste you remove all the interesting human nuances from the "performance". It is no longer a performance, it is a Spreadsheet. Heck, most DAW music actually LOOKS like a spreadsheet too.

There are ALOT of different types of music out nowadays, pop isnt the place to look for "in depth" ANYTHING. IT IS 2011, music is made totally different now than 20yrs ago. This is beyond depressing - this man has absolutely nothing to do with artistry or music, as evidenced by the 'performers' he works with and how he refers to stacking, processing, aligning, samplers, pitch correctors, plug-ins, etc. Whatever happened to true songwriting, singers performing actual vocals, and real musicians? And is someone really asking if there was an 'over-arching musical idea or concept' with regard to "Tik-Tok"?
