I'm a big time Fedor fan, and there are only 2 heavyweights I see in the UFC right now that could beat him. Cain Velasquez (who to me is Fedor's heir apparent in terms of size and technique), and Junior Dos Santos. I think he would get beat up by guys like Lesnar, Carwin and Frank Mir but would still come out on top.
You also have to take into consideration that if Fedor fought Lesnar or Carwin it would be in a cage. Both Carwin and Lesnar are 280 lb wrestling champions that wouldn't have much of a problem putting Fedor up against the cage and getting a takedown. Fedor wouldn't be able to pull off submissions near the cage (see Rogers fight) and it only takes one punch, from either of those guys, to knock someone out.
@RoyNelsonBeatFedor Fedor is a Sambo champ who has trained with a 250+ pound beast (his brother Alexander). As you saw in the Rogers fight, it was Fedor's first in a cage of any sort and he was a little bit overwhelmed. Brock couldn't put Heath Herring away. One punch from Fedor would floor either of those 2 guys. They may be able to take him down to to their weight advantage but the wouldn't knock him out. Fedor is impervious to pain (see Fedor vs Randleman if you don't believe me)
I agree with you that one punch from Fedor could probably KO Lesnar or Carwin.... but one punch from either of those guys could KO Fedor too, which is why everyone wants to see the fight. If Lesnar or Carwin landed a few punches on Fedor, especially on the ground, he would be out and if Lesnar or Carwin couldn't get Fedor down in time, they would probably get KTFO. That's why those fights are so interesting.

@nohj1000000 CHAEL Sonnen is an excellent wrestler. He trains with other excellent wrestlers. He has dominated all of his opponents with wrestlers. End of the day, all Jon Bones Jones is, is reach. Take away his reach advantage and he's garbage. Anderson Silva has been able to prove himself, and before you call me a fanboy, I prefer Vitor Belfort over Anderson Silva. In my opinion, the best mixed martial artist in the UFC is Junior Dos Santos, and Lyoto Machida my favorite LHW.

If Anderson Silva was subjected to that type of beating, he wouldn't be in condition to fight so soon afterwards. I'm a big time Fedor fan, and there are only 2 heavyweights I see in the UFC right now that could beat him. Cain Velasquez (who to me is Fedor's heir apparent in terms of size and technique), and Junior Dos Santos. I think he would get beat up by guys like Lesnar, Carwin and Frank Mir but would still come out on top.

You also have to take into consideration that if Fedor fought Lesnar or Carwin it would be in a cage. Both Carwin and Lesnar are 280 lb wrestling champions that wouldn't have much of a problem putting Fedor up against the cage and getting a takedown. Fedor wouldn't be able to pull off submissions near the cage (see Rogers fight) and it only takes one punch, from either of those guys, to knock someone out.

As you saw in the Rogers fight, it was Fedor's first in a cage of any sort and he was a little bit overwhelmed. Brock couldn't put Heath Herring away. One punch from Fedor would floor either of those 2 guys. They may be able to take him down to to their weight advantage but the wouldn't knock him out. Fedor is impervious to pain (see Fedor vs Randleman if you don't believe me)

I agree with you that one punch from Fedor could probably KO Lesnar or Carwin.... but one punch from either of those guys could KO Fedor too, which is why everyone wants to see the fight. If Lesnar or Carwin landed a few punches on Fedor, especially on the ground, he would be out and if Lesnar or Carwin couldn't get Fedor down in time, they would probably get KTFO. That's why those fights are so interesting.

@jarmo58 I agree. Fedor might have lost a step at his age. But in his prime he'd have no problem beating the top guys in the UFC. I still think right now though Lesnar's striking and his ground game is kind of sloppy, so he'd have no problem going for an armbar. We haven't seen how good his Jiu-Jitsu is either because nobody's dared to try to submit him from the bottom.

His one attribute is his wrestling, which might cause Fedor some problems. But he couldn't GnP him and put him away. He'd lose by submission
