this is great love the tunes and how it smoothly flows. im having a hard time deciding between Ableton Live 8 or Fl Studio 9. Im leaning more towards fl studio because it is cheaper, but i think Ableton has some better stuff. What do u think is better just for making mostly trance music?

Well I'd always reccomend Ableton, because I think it has de creativity of FL en the power of Cubase

@KKKMMMMMM You can always ReWire FL Studio into Live 8. FL is nice for quick loops and stuff. I still keep it around.

I think FL studio is more just messing around really grab that here drop that there, click these squares.

Ableton is much more of a professional software package, effects, side chaining, the works.

are you using instruments and effects that came with ableton live? or are they extras plugins you purchased?

and for the instruments I use VST's (external), mainly Sylenth1

I'd say Sylenth1 so powerful, has different music genres pathes, easy to use and cheaper...

Nexus is great but expensive, it has also alot of different genres but you'll have to buy plugins...

how u make ur master keeps in green while u sound sounds loud and with a nice quiality when i want my master green i make the volume of instruments slower

@Splenken what you gotta do is choose the right instruments together so that your frequency spectrum is balanced.

Then, if you finish your track export it before you master it!

@Splenken well another tip is to get iZotope Ozone 3 or 4, for me it's the perfect Master tool!!

It's my sidechain channel, i copied my kick and muted it.

so if I remove my kick from the arrangement, it won't affect any sidechain action

well, a lot of people say that Ableton has the power of Cubase and the creativity of Fruity Loops. It has a bit of both worlds, which works great for me! I could recommend everybody Ableton
