Another great piece of archival footage of the nice, but what makes this great is when the lady comes out of the house yelling and firing the rifle @ 4:00 and our heros go running for their lives, that is classic. Thanks so much for posting this.
I think their unfortunate last performances were in germany about april 1970. the last time I saw them was march 22nd 1970 at fairfield halls croydon with a final america.
If that's 1970, that is one of the later Nice performances I've seen. I would almost be inclined to say that was late 1969 though. While they were together a bit in 1970, all three of them started their own projects that year.
Rather interesting. I didn't know that Keith was standing on his organ (God, what a double entendre...Boo, hiss) back then. First time I saw ELP was on the Works tour, 3 concerts after the orchestra left and they still had six semi's full of stuff. But I didn't see him do that, then. Later on it seemed to be part of the show.
All Beat Club footage from the nice are commercially released in this month (3 takes of "America" and 2 of "Hang On To a Dream"). I ordered this DVD very soon
They speak german in this footage and when i got this video it say'd that this if from "Beat Club". But i don't think that this is "Beat Club" footage.
