you can't get brain damage from marijuana. The whole it kills brain cells thing was proven inaccurate. They tested that on monkeys by pumping their lungs full of marijuana smoke without rest for 15 minutes straight and suffocating them leading to brain cell loss and damage due to lack of oxygen not due to marijuana smoke.
marijuana is a medicine..if you abuse it it will affect you. just like everything right? if you over take your medication you can go into anapyleptic shock. if you over eat you can become obest. if you drink too much water you cells will begin to burst and you die. if you eat too much sugar you can become diabetic. if you eat too much bad cholesterol you can have heart problems. if you drink too much you can have liver or kidney desease....etc
The thing is.. weed will make you dumb, it will stunt your growth if your doing it as a teenager and will hurt your lungs as well. If done in moderation it's fine, it's not good for you physically but great for you mentally. If done constantly for a long period of time the side-effects can be paranoia, depression, anxiety and hearing / seeing things. This won't happen to everyone but I know it can still happen. you can't get brain damage from marijuana. The whole it kills brain cells thing was proven inaccurate. They tested that on monkeys by pumping their lungs full of marijuana smoke without rest for 15 minutes straight and suffocating them leading to brain cell loss and damage due to lack of oxygen not due to marijuana smoke.

The thing is.. weed will make you dumb, it will stunt your growth if your doing it as a teenager and will hurt your lungs as well. If done in moderation it's fine, it's not good for you physically but great for you mentally. If done constantly for a long period of time the side-effects can be paranoia, depression, anxiety and hearing / seeing things. This won't happen to everyone but I know it can still happen. Have fun with it.. but don't let it take over your life, because it can. Weed ftw!!

@Falchorn585 It could be regulated just like cigs and alcohol are. With a simple "You can't consume marijuana if you are under the age of 18" or something along those lines would be good.
Long-term use of cigs are a bit stronger than weed, so in comparison, I think I'd take my chances.
But you're right about controlling yourself with this substance. Too much of a good thing can be bad.

If done repeatedly and in fairly large amounts it WILL make you dumb regardless of what you believe. I've seen the effects on people who have done this.
