Great job, but the guitar solo is too bluesy, and not as frenetic as the original. Just not the right style of playing for this song. Needs more linear scale work and less bending. The whole song started out a little too fast and was missing some of the swing. But... heck of a good job all around! Probably my favorite MO track.
I thought Neil Alexander was great when he played for years with the Pink Floyd tribute band "The Machine" but this is definitely a better gig for him. They all are consummate musicians and they do the original band justice :)
Man !!! where can I get the full concert of this video , please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are unreal !! I was lucky to see them once in Charlotte NC many years ago ,now I live in another country and the only way to see a band like this is thru internet ,not to much fun !! so , how can I get the full concert please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you
@nailosity Thanks man !!!!! I can't wait to see the whole concert . I got back into drums after I saw you guys perform , I didn't think you would sound like that man , Gregg is an amaizing drummer and the band sounds Killer !! I'm a big fan of the Mahavishnu Orchestra and you guys are the best tribute by far I've ever seen. Once again thank you Paul

These musicians are of course excellent BUT the title of the tune is DANCE of the Maya.
It's gotta swing dudes. It's what I loved so much about the original 71 recording.

@zhandoatosl it's "the Dance of Maya" - not "Dance of the Maya".

@zhandoatosl I agree. It seemed a little stiff and rushed as it started.
