BRS's existence was never really explained at all, neither where the other girls who live in that world, or the world itself. The anime is like some subverted brick joke. Hopefully in BRS TV Series, all will be explained.

(because Mato seems to be ignoring her) and for her, Mato was her life. Mato regretted what she did, and BRS is somehow saying sorry.

I enjoyed the OVA, but I was kind of disappointed how in the end, that connection between our world and BRS's world isn't explained.
