  • 250 rpm at 1:30 lol

  • Man, don't you just want to talk into that fan..

  • That's how I get sucked off

  • Lemme guess: Starting one during an earthquake, right?

  • Could hardly watch this, walk straight goddamit and stop bouncing the fuck around =)

  • @boorelius Ummm....he's doing two things at once...duh!!! Like backing a plane out for flight. I would imagine if he got caught taping....it could mean his job.

  • Um get the fuck away from the engine you can get sucked right in,

  • You would have to be stupid to get that close to an engine that was running.

  • @3starproductions1 It's at idle and it looks like he's zoomed in with the camera. :)

  • P&W 4000

    love it

  • Cyclone Technology :D

  • Hrtz

  • did you feel any suction while filming this???

  • MIA?

  • Comment removed

  • I would be too scared to do anything like that. Great vid though.

  • sounds like our washing machine

  • What a smart cameraman. You should have filmmed a little closer. I couldn't see the engine.

  • Music to my ears. :) Wind it up!

  • u didnt get sucked in??????????????

  • your infront of a cf6-80 engine

  • Now go stick your finger in it.

  • They finished your mums dildo

  • hey this looks like MIA!

  • Not the brightest videographer

  • Aviation Porn...

  • You used the zoom....coward !....lol :-)

  • Would've been a great movie if the camera had been sucked out of your hand lol

  • @Otacatapetl 5 second film that costs the same as a hollywood film, lol

  • 1ne jet your filming uno jetto

  • it looks it spins at a couple of rpms

  • mate i would not be standing that cloes to a jet engine

  • the centre .. the white ink .. that looks like a moving nipple .. ahahhaa !

  • I'd Tap that

  • GET OUT OF THE WAY BEFORE YOUR SUCKED IN! ARE YOU ALIVE TO TELL THE TALE?

  • I spermed...

  • how far were you from the engine when you filmed this?

  • tuck in your penis and you can see the power of this monster.

  • is this thomson airlines? if it is thats realy cool

  • @delts99 no American

  • Dude, tape abruptly stopped at the highest revolution, obviuosly the camera man was sucked in.

  • i love that sound.....the sound of getting out of the UK....what a fucked up place.

  • @1700iDiGuy how is the up a fucked up place ? :D i no there is a recession but at least ur not in Italy haha :)

  • @EtherealHD You've got a point there, hahaha! but seriously i'm tired of reading the news and hearing about it, its so depressing and its just not brushing me the right way, i'm only young and to have to suffer along with millions of others whilst the fat cat goverments and businesses feed us crap about 'we need to increase prices to get us out of the deficit' and yet these companies have the raw nerve to release statistics of how many millions of profit they've made....

  • @1700iDiGuy yeah I agree with you there mate %100 the government is fucked up and were in the shit as well as other country's and we just gave Italy like £8 mil i think and how the fuck we gonna get out of the recession and they say its gonna be 10 years until we get out of it so yeah haha it sucks i no but shit happens even if you move to a dif place doesnt mean youll be out of it haha but :D yeah

  • @ 0:11 : is that the start-valve you hear, which is being opened?

  • there are 2 fans in there?????????????

  • @bhainsad

    Primary and secondary compressors :)

  • Perfect!

  • It hypnotized me @_@

  • Sounds like sex .

  • I couldn't see it..., pls go closer nxt time and hopefully even closer the next time ! Thx...

  • OMG...!!!! WHO EVER MADE THIS VIDEO....U SHOULD BE STANDING AWAY FROM RUNNING ENGINE...!!! :D....IT WILL SUCK U UP!!!...THIS IS THE SUCTION AREA OF AN ENGINE...!!!

  • OMG...!!!!!! WHO EVER MADE THIS VIDEO...U SHOULD BE STANDING AWAY FROM RUNNING ENGINE!!!...IT WILL SUCK U UP!!!.. :D....THIS IS THE SUCTION AREA OF AN ENGINE...

  • stop mooving !!!

  • I can't think of a more satisfying switch to push than the start button (assuming it's a single button)

  • I need one of these for my vacuum cleaner! I guess it may be difficult to maneuver.

  • @1023Jaybird haha...it would suck up the foundation of your house

  • @1023Jaybird Anyone seen Fido??

  • @saucierdavid8109 He's up against the wall of that building in the background.

  • damn son, bob the camera up and down a little more next time, please!

  • Its fine being that close to the engines when they start. When we leak check them after maintenance we get right up next tot them. (No, not in front of the intake lol). Guessing by the noise its a CF6?

  • comments work??

  • you should be 25ft. away from the intake :D

  • It just amazes me the clearance between the fan blades and engine case! Its about 0.5cm and yet the fan still does not strike the case, simply amazing!

  • Wtf was i looking at? O.o (the middle thing)

  • Chimba de video (Y)

  • Lucky bastard.

  • just listen to that thing roar

  • Dare you to stick a finger in!

  • And I will still be scared to be in front of an engine like that

  • The plane will not suck you in unless the pilot puts throttle

  • go and check back side of engine :P

  • put ya hand in there

  • Cool video!

  • Love this video, who ever made it was one brave mother! Thanks for posting, nandovision10.

  • Notice you hear the start primer fuel light off when you hear the RPM increase rapidly then the primary fuel light off 4 seconds after to flight idle RPM speed then stabilized at idle (approx. 40% N1 speed).

  • Comment removed

  • what's the purpose of the hypnotizing center design it would only make someone want to go near

  • @fixstuffnow It's the vortex mark which makes it easier to tell if the fan is spinning from a distance or in dark conditions while the pilot does his pre flight checks and for maintenance purposes.

  • @fixstuffnow Actually called the center mark.

  • @fixstuffnow

It's changing shape lets stupid people realise the engine is on and not to stick your hand in there.

If it had a swirl like shape it would just be a circle at full speed and so someone might not realise the engine is on

  • I love love love that sound... :D

  • FFS, stand still!

  • why aren't you being sucked in?

  • @mrMTronny Engines at idle don't really get you until you're very close.

  • @mrMTronny Because the engine is on idol... therefor not accelerating... just like your car engine at a red light... If the engine was on full throttle it would suck him in.

  • @MarkMck1994 thanks,someone told me already :)

  • @mrMTronny hes on the other side of the jet. my question is how is he standing?

  • @mrMTronny the engine couldn't suck him because of his balls's weight

  • @MultiMinigun lol!

  • @mrMTronny because its not turned to make thrust, only to spin, the noise is naturaly mad by the turbinew

  • how many baldes are there in the engine?

  • Was it difficult to just stand still and record this?

  • @freeflyshannon He was safety man on push back, it's difficult to hold still and walk.

  • @freeflyshannon At idle speed, you will feel a vacuum effect to the point of losing your step but not enough to suck you into the intake. Now, if you have the guts to stay there while the pilot pushes the throttles foward to taxi RPM, you better be stepping way back.

  • @e081194eng whats thrust reverse?

  • @Crazzy4Chicago Thrust reverse changes the angle of thrust produced by redirecting it to "shoot" at a forward direction slowing the aircraft.

  • Comment removed

  • @e081194eng yeah. you don't wanna end up like that mechanic in El Paso. I saw the aftermath pics...there was literally nothing recognizable left of that guy.....

  • @e081194eng make sense thanks for that information i now have an idea i always thought even at idle you could be sucked it although, i dont know if you read it an airplane mechanic was checking a 737 continental in el paso airport and he was sucked into the engine while passengers were boarding im wondering how you would think the thrust was at idle i doubt it was any higher since passengers were boarding ima guess he lost his step but lets just say sadly he was a smoothie :(

  • @houshidar558 Im sure if you stand right under the edge of the intake that could happen. In this clip the cameraman had some reasonable distance between him and the intake and was zooming in. As a general rule, you stand clear of the intake even during start.

  • Put your finger in there - you will feel a tickling sensation, VERY enjoyable :)

  • no suction?

  • i wunna tuch it

  • your not on the runway

  • stick your finger in it...

  • Stop Moving !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thats great, you can actually hear the moment the captain starts putting the fuel in

  • @ChorleyClaret1981

Not to be trollin', but its what I do.

    A: It's pilot, not captian.

B: That's not fuel, that's the windflow in the turbine. It had fuel flowing in it from the beginning.

    Credentials?

I'm a private pilot, and I own my own Cessna 150, and Cessna 172, but have classifications for Multi-engine Jet aircraft.

  • @MrJulian365 but doesnt the APU provide the air power to turn the turbine up to a speed of 20% then the "pilot" turns the fuel on via the centre console ? I think so anyway. I've seen enough cockpit video's to know what's going on.

  • @ChorleyClaret1981 True, the APU does do the initial starting, but the fuel is flowing the whole time. What the pilot does is initiate which gas tanks to feed from. So sure, it's not taking in NEW fuel, but using the fuel that is still in the system from the last run. (There's always fuel in the system, unless you run dry.) When the pilot switches that selector switch, it re-initiates NEW fuel coming in, but fuel is always flowing. I've seen enough cockpits in real life to know whats going on.

  • Yep, the engine is in perfect working condition.

  • Did it feel like you were about to get sucked in?

  • the little dot is so trippy

  • @dpress95

This is by far the best fan cap paint job i have ever witnessed. U know if engine makers made cooler designs, anything is possible. I have tried it out on FSX, puttin in different geometric patterns to get cool effects when u start the engines up. If you painted an off-center star - thats trippy as hell too!

  • @sonicboom2885

If i were you, I'd paint some dirty clothes on one.

That way, it looks like a washing machine from hell.

  • Thats an intense place to stand...

  • @ofnarcr oh

  • I love that sound.

  • i wonder how fast it is going

  • look at the center of the turbine

  • Being from his distance he has nothing to worry about. It's behind the engine that is dangerous.the only way he posses a danger to himself is if he's standing 2-4 meters away from the fan. You don't get sucks in but it is really hard to stand on two feet!

  • Thanks for the video. You have guts being that close!

  • This is the music for my ears. Great video!

  • hey mr camera man how come u didnt get sucked in the jet engine

  • hey mr camera man how come u didnt get sucked into the engine?

  • @tbarnes131 why that should be stupid? there are alot of people who work on the airfield and stand every day in front of a spinning turbine. and if they're spinning on idle it's not dangerous.

  • What happen if you get right in front of the turbine? <:o)

  • The RR Trents have a orange swirlie, the GE's have a white onre, and then theres whatever this has O_o

  • thats baby making music right there

  • lets trow justin bieber there

  • its not started, its just running off the APU feed

  • Definatley an AA 767. The Engine's "eye" matches the 767 eye for AA. Also the Blue Strip and other AA planes in the background give a pretty difinitive answer.

  • @TheAsimoKid and the fact that it's at DFW...

  • You could throw something in, would be fun.

  • I hope you get sucked in for being so stupid..

  • thats so sexy

  • Make sure you don't get sucked in lol.

  • @roju0229 Haha, good one!

  • judging by the blue stipes down the fuselage im guessing this is an all nippon airways 767-300

  • @britishairwayspilot1 I think it is American Airlines, fuselage looks silver to me and there is another AA plane next to at gate

  • Where is it this airport? Brazil? GRU

  • Muito zika...onde era? GRU?

  • I wouldn't be standing that close if I were you

  • I'm gonna guess at something here, but I'll bet that odd design on the nose cone is designed to be visible as motion at incredible speeds. I'd think any other design would blur out into a uniform color at that speed.

  • @junkdeal Sure is..

  • Am i noticing the plane moving? O_O

  • frightening...it looked like you were awfully close. i assume you weren't and simply zoomed in. Some light on the blades like you had makes for a much better engine startup video. Thanks

  • awesome

  • Which Airline operates that Plane?

  • @11taurean american airlines if u pause it at 0:05 you can see the red white and blue stripes

  • im so tempted to put my hand in there

  • cool but thats nuts!!

  • DON'T YOU NORMALLY GET SUCKED IN THEIR AND CHOPPED UP WHEN STANDING THAT CLOSE?

  • @blackzombie117 at those speeds, the engine has barely any pulling power..it will definitely feel breezy...but there is not enough suction to make minced meat out of you

  • @thetransporter735 oh O.k

  • What's that spraying noise at 0:48?

  • @thetransporter735 Thats the starter motor, it injects compressed air into the compressor to make it start turning round
